I've noticed that I can see the build queues in each of my foes cities although I don't have any treaties with them. I might not even know them (see other thread: https://forums.elementalgame.com/432095 ). Is this intended? It was late yesterday and I haven't had the time to verify this observation in another (save-)game but maybe other players are seeing this too?

double post...sorry
Happens for me too but I think this behaviour is not intended.
Impressive! These changes had a huge impact for. The UI is much more appealing now and all the important parts are actually readable (and enjoyable)!
Sounds very similar to what a few other users are experiencing. See this thread for answers: forums.elementalgame.com/431983
@naytchSG: Sorry I forgot to mention in the original post that I already did that at that time. @Derek Paxton: This fixed the problem partially. After deleting this folder it crashed directly after launching the game. I tried that a couple of times and in combination with deleting the MyGames folder I was able to reach the main menu. "Problem solved" I thought but a new problem arose: every 3D content was just white/shades of grey ;-) Menu items and HUDs where visible but things like
Hi, any news on this issue? I have reinstalled the whole game but it still crashes every time it reaches the main menu. Even compatibility mode didn't change anything.
Upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8 x64 today (through MS academic alliance) and installed the 0.952 patch after that. FE crashes everytime it reaches the main menu. FE worked one windows 7 without any crashes for me. The debug log can be found here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2231676/debug.err Let me know if you need further information.
Just click on the portrait of the unit whose stats you would like to pull up in the initiative list on the left side of the tactical combat screen.
Thanks. Somehow this wasn't obvious to me :)
Forests, Rivers, Swamps take more than one move - there's an empire ('Master Scouts' - Tarth?) and a unit-specific talent that negates them so it only costs one move.
Okay, is there some way to see this on the campaign map? Basically I just want to know how far my stack can move in a given turn. Maybe this can be indicated by different colors for the trail/path.
I gotta say when I found out you could click the monster's icon (bottom left corner) and get full details, combat stats, weaknesses, strengths, AND backstory, my "wow" factor with this game went up another notch.
:) I know but afaik there is no such thing on tactical map. It's nice to have the full-fledged dialog but I think mostly a quick overview will do.
Hi, I just wanted to provide some quite general feedback: - The "continue" button should be placed on the top of the main menu. That's a more common position and its less likely to accidentally hit exit by over-/undershooting. - The "equip" button should bring up the inventory/equipment dialog or some kind of tooltip with the item stats should be added. Right now it's impossible to decide whether I want to equip the item or not. This has been already mentioned
This is my very first post just to express the sadness about the missing multiplayer [e digicons]:([/e] I love most of the Stardock product and I especially like their attitude but I really don't get the multiplayer thing. The internet is basically one of the greatest inventions of our time. Why in the world should we not use it for a turn based game, for which writing some network code should be comparatively easy? Multiplayer also adds a huge amount of replayability
