Been messing around with True Launch Bar as recommended by my Faithful Readers in my last article. Here's what I've come up with so far: http://68.57.33.123/desktop.PNG The theme is based off the White Stripes, my favoritest band at the moment. As you can notice, its a white/black/red theme going. Here's what I used in the picture: True Launch Bar (t

I don't really know what I want "instead". I'd just like something thats easy to use, uncluttered, and looks good. Other than that I'm pretty much open to anything

I just wanted to submit my question to the crowd. I'm basically revamping my desktop into something a bit nicer. Thing is, I have a wallpaper that I really like and now its cluttered by desktop icons. I'm not really sure what I can do to get rid of them. About half are directories (music, documents, images, videos), another half are shortcuts to stuff I use a lot. Thi

So. This summer has treated me well. Among other things, I read The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. Boy oh boy... Before I had never really understood the socialist idea. I mean, I understand the economic theory rightly enough. It didn't really sound _that_ bad to me. I mean, why wage war with other countries over a period of some 40 years when they are just doing

Just grabbed WinBlinds on my new computer along with a skin I really like. The only problem is that the taskbar is a bit too small for my likings. I messed around in Skinstudio for about an hour last night to no avail. Help!

Wow. Mine was a bit unusual, I am dead center between left and right and one notch down towards Libertarianism. I feel I am more to the right than to the left but my religion has influenced that (ie everyone no matter race, disability, sexual preference, etc. is entitled to the same rights) a bit.

Hey guys, just wondering if you guys could help me. I have to do a persuasive presentation for abortion (ie pro-choice). It's kinda against my wishes so I don't rightly know many arguments (which is why I'm here). Any help is apprechiated!

Our case is really quite odd. America has only been around a couple hundred years and despite being completly isolated from the European hotspot at our onset, we managed to flourish while having only one revolution (defeating a totally superior nation at the time) and one civil war. Meanwhile, we've managed to become the most powerful nation politcally and technologically. We've only "lost" a couple wars (depending on how you look at it, some would arg

The only problem with that (that I see anyways) is that, yes, it was "cheap" to take him down but how cheap will it be when/if something similar happens again? We can at least give them a nice big push in the right direction before we jump ship. Leaving them to deal with this situation theirselves might even make things (in the long term) worse than had Saddam remained there.

Good viewpoints. Here's some of my thoughts on yours (=D) - Hmmm, well I guess I'll just see where WoT takes me. - Dune- I rather liked his style, better than Jordans IMHO anyways. I pretty much lost interest in the sequels when it jumped a couple thousand years in the future :-/ - Ender- I agree, the other books are just as good. Speaker was another book I started a couple times but after you get a little ways through it ge

Well it's been a while since I've written an entry so I've decided to do one. It looks like theres enough on politics out there already so I'll touch on something that hasn't been mentioned much around here- literature. I frankly love to read and have recently found myself staying up into the wee hours of the mourning to read "just one more page" (gotta love the excus

Never mind, it seems from the trial I got that it's not. You really should put up descriptions about what you get in the trials that way people know exactly what don't (and would if they bought it) get

I've read and reread this book about 4 times now and I agree, each time you pick out something new. What I like about this book is that it could happen. I'm what some call "gifted" or whatever and to me the characters seem like me or people I know. They are all "people"- they make mistakes, the are loyal at times, betray or are just plain mean other times, and each has their own personalities. I espically like Ender. He is just a special type

Downloaded the free version of DesktopX and was wondering if it's a trial. I couldn't find the word "trial" anywhere on the page and it didn't pop up with a 30 day limitation or anything so I was just wondering. Thanks!

ObjectBar does use alot of memory, not for the bad computers out there :) Most others are quite good though. Sometimes I run into funny crashes with Logon and some funny wording in error messages and stuff but overall (from the trials and such), very good. I might buy the pack but I'm not sure how much I will use and if I really need everything in the package.

Thanks for the feedback! No I don't have a mailing list but I might try to implement one in the future if there is enough of a demand. As far as your browser trobules, I have personally never heard of Crazy Broswer. Maybe I'll go download it and take a look so to speak. Another thing to try is Mozilla Firefox which is an updated version of Firebird. So far I have heard really great things about it and might review it a little later on. You really can't go wrong with any of thos

You guys haven't heard from me in a while since I've been building my computer. Overall it took only an afternoon or two and was quite fun. Learned a whole lot too. And I got it running (somehow) without frying half my components (which is a good thing for those keeping score). In the end it only ran me about $1400 or so and now I can play all my games smoothly instead of just the ones made before the Industrial Revolution. Here's my top 10 comments on
