Let us be realistic for a second here. I will give you that Ohio has maybe half the population of Iraq (11.5M to 22.6M about) but then don't you think that if Ohio was invaded and we were not able to be beat the invaders out right that we would resort to the same tactics? Not the exact same of couse (most Americans aren't really that crazy about blowing themselves and their children up) but a guerrilla style engagement? If we could kill the same number of OUR people with half the population how

Hi Nell!
Yes, that's right. I'm going to build a new computer (and you thought it was a child?!?). Kudos for me. I know most I need to know about how to build one and am farily computer "fluent" or "savy" as you might say but this should be an interesting experience... (if you have any good sites or advice about this process feel free to comment on it below) First off, I decided to go with a desktop after much debate. It was to be either a gaming rig or an iBook. Why did I go with the gaming c
Sorry bout that, my spelling was pretty much shot to hell =D Try to make it out if you can =D
Here my take on it (I'm too lazy to read all the above responses so I'm sorry if I repeat anything). Gaming rigs generally last longer. That $2000 computer will last you a good 4-8 years and you can upgrade it whereas a new console comes out every 2-3 years and not only is it $300+ but then you also factor in new games (unless its something that's backwards compatible), new controlers, new memory cards, etc etc. For a computer, an extra stick of ram might be all you need which (at today
Everyone has some type of bias or another. I don't think it's quite as much bias now however with Longhorn coming out in a year or two.
... and so I give you another! My Top 10 Favorite Websites! Like before, these are MY favorite sites and reflect what I'm going to currently. With that being said, let's get on to the list (in no particular order)! 1) www.joeuser.com - I think it's some kind of blogging site or something.... 2) www.wincustomize.com - My XP desktop gets very boring, very quickly. I head over here to spice things up a 'lil (or to kick it up a notch). Lot's of stuff available here. 3) www
But even then its not all that fair of a comparison. It's like comparing apples and oranges. Neither OS utilizes the resources available to it in the same way and both are completly different and built off of different things. One OS could do things a certain way to be faster while the other takes the "the user wants more and by George we'll give him more" route. I'm not only talking program wise but how the auctualy OS is built coding wise.
Hey guys! I'm going to post my story so far below. But first, I'm only 8,000 some words through it and I'm not editing this by any means (so ya it probably sucks but then again, November is for writing, the rest of the year is for trying to figure out what the hell you wrote)! Anyways, tell me what you think! *copies and hopes this doesn't crash my computer* Prologue "Sir! Urgent telegram for you!" screamed a soldier who looked as if he didn't even shave yet. That was the
Good points! About the iTunes thing, I think what I meant was that people who use Windows and don't really know about Macs now can have this cool piece of software that could potentially convert them so to speak.
Windows. Apple. Linux. I don't think they represent what os you run on, they are more of a lifestyle (more so for the second two than the first). Who hasn't gotten into a fight (or at least a friendly debate) with someone about which is better? If you havn't you must be either A) living in the 1700's or B) very very naive. So which one IS the best? The answer is in the form of a question: How do you like things (or "Depends on who you ask.")? Which will win in the end? Apple is taking s
Paintball is fun =D Glad you had a good time.
I belive there is a type of religion that belives that this is a god/gods but they are only responsible for our creation. They belive something created the universe and then stepped back and let the rest happen for itself. Also, you might want to check our Unitarian Universalism. They belive not only in exploring your own religion to find out what you belive but also in principels. They don't acknowledge anyone as their savior or that there is a god or a holy book rather they belive tha
Let us take a peek back to the days of the constitution. Anyone remember that electorial collage thing? The whole foundation for that is this argument, the masses are generally dumb and suseptable to bribery/corruption. Too bad the electorial collage is pretty much controlled by the popular vote (of that state) now.
Personally, I don't think living forever would be as great as it seems. Yes, you could do what ever you wanted but living things aren't meant to not die. Birth is the beggining and death is the ending. It would be unnatural to not die just like it would be unnatural to be born in a factory from some cloning machine.
I think living forever now is more of a holy grail type quest, you don't really go on it expecting to get it but because of the journey and the benifits of it. Yes, I think we'll eventually live longer than we'd ever want now (but we'll always say, "I'm not happy! I want to live longer!"). I think we'll come up with a creative solution like storing a person's DNA in a jar or something untill they start to decompose and then use it to rebuild them or some crazy idea like that. Who knows what tomm
Exactly what I was saying the other day: Apple will become rich very fast. The iPod is pretty much the best mp3 player out there now and now has windows supposed. On top of that, iTunes for the Mac and Windows os (Linux later?). They got several things right with iTunes. First off, no sign up or monthly fee. Why should we have to pay you to be able to buy things from you? Next, the free little 10-40 second snipits of songs lets you hear it so you know what you're getting. A flat rate for each s
That's right, in 15 or so days, we start into November. And as you may or may not know, November is the National Novel Writing Month where you are challenged to write about one topic/plot (no random short stories ;) ) for a month and (hopefully) reach 50,000 words. Along with you are tons or other people, racking their nerves, drinking their coffee, slaving day after day to make some semblence of story into a great piece of understandable literature. And for what? Well mostly for satisfaction.
Why not say "Make everyone ugly except me?" :P
I regret my last post after suffering 4 whole days without power! What did I do? Well I read Dan Brown's Deception Point (very good, read the Da Vinci Code too...), saw Matchstick Men (very good sting/con man-type movie), bought the Fellowship of the Ring Soundtrack (love it), and basically sat around eating stuff that would go bad if I didn't. More tommarow as I need to go do something fun...
Ahhhh! The dreaded hurricane! It's coming strait for us!* (*Being a hurrican it could change it's path at any moment so don't quote me on that.) Seriously though, it's just a hurricane. Yes, it has winds that are now around 100 MPH and if I was living on the beach I'd be running away (or boarding up the house with really thick boards and duct tape at the same time that way the hurriance AND the terrorists can't get me!). I really think part of this is the media.
wo that's really cool since this was just my 3rd article! yes, i shall (try) to keep up the good work in every way possible! thanks for the feedback!
1. SlimBrowser- It's I.E. with tabbed browsing, groups, and a very good, trainable, pop-up remover. Don't think I need to say too much more about this. 2. Spybot Search and Destroy- First off, for those who don't know, it's a spyware removal device. Most people say go with Ad-aware but Spybot seems to run a little faster for me and seems to detect stuff Ad-aware doesn't. Also, it has some extra features that can be rather handy. Check it out. 3. GIMP- Just got back into it
First off I must get this out of the way: retainers suck! They are the most evil torture device devised by mankind. Not only do they make you feel funny but you can't talk. They hurt going in and out and they make you take them out to eat or brush your teeth (5x the pain right there). And if you lose them they are $150 to replace (per). Braces: $1500. Retainer: $300. Five "Fun" Years of Pain: Priceless... oh wait nevermind thats $1800 (hey at least I get a free cup eh?)!<
Hey everybody it is I the almighty Gamefreak99 and I am here to say Hello (World)! Hopefully I'll be keeping up with this alot or something and you'll have the pleasure of reading my random thoughts and actions (yes you can read my actions after I post them, cool eh?). First off a little about me. I go to school. I play video games. I write. I read. I am uniquely the same as everyone else in a unique way. I am me. I am I (or am I?). And I'll be talking about random stuff in an attempt to engligh
