Very strange behavior that I see since updating to windows 11: I have pinned several applications to my task bar, two of them are Brave and Acrobat. When I have two windows of Brave open (showing in the task bar as grouped) and I click on the group, Acrobat is launched. Hovering over the group, waiting for the two previews to show up and then clicking on one of them, gives me the right browser window to come to the front.

Hi, I just noticed that on my start11, running with windows 10, I can create my own toobars (just as in the win 10 start). One of the main things that kept me from going to win11, is that I would have to re-create all my finely tuned start menu. This is where I set my hope on start11, that I get a good transition from win 10 start to start11 (and that so far has been done with good success) and then continue start11 with the same settings in windows 11 (not done yet). Hi, I totally appreciate that in regards to the drop target - having been a SW developer - but the missing icon on dropping a url from a browser (which would create a shortcut when dropped in the desktop) onto a dock, I would consider a bug. Hi Basj, nearly a year - - - are your developers busy implementing my deepest desires? The other problem that I am eagerly waiting for to be solved, are the missing icons when dropping a URL from a browser onto a dock to create a bookmark. The link is still created but nothing is displayed - it would be great if you could pick up the favicon from the website, but even just the browser icon would be helpful. Cheers, Gunter
I have an autohiding tabbed dock on the top of my screen and it show too quickly when my cursor ventures up to the top of the screen - which happens often when I need to get to the frame of a window. Is there a way for a delay for the auto-hidden dock to unfold? Cheers, Gunter
Hi, I know this is an old issue, but I found this when looking for a solution of the same problem I have. unning windows 10 22H2 with start11 version 2.51. One of the icons that shows very small with a wide border is SlickEdit (but there are others) and this is definitely an older program that probably has no high res icon included. Hi Basj, it is very similar, it only expands to also be a drop target for excutables, to start the executable with the dropped file as an argument, while my initial proposal was only for folders in a dock. Cheers, Gunter
Hi, I would like to make a feature request: Make icons in a dock drop targets, so that I can drop files onto a dock icon - e.g. I file dropped onto a folder icon will cause that file to be moved/copied into that folder, or a jpeg file dropped onto a photoshop icon is opening that jpeg in photoshop. Hi, I would like to have an icon in a dock pointing to a folder. Is there an option that I could drag and drop files onto that icon so that they are added to that folder? I tried the logging into a clean account and started start11 there and all worked fine. And when I went back to my regular account - that magically also worked - now I can delete things. :-)
Yeah, I meant the upgrade to win 22H2 - and this time I succeeded. But it did not make a difference about my ability to remove the apps group - any group actually. I played with this some more to get an idea if there is something I can do to make it work. But nothing: (all on a second page) make a new normal group or app-group, put them together into tabs, the command to delete, group or even tab and all group, and even page, just don't do anything. Hi, I added an Apps Folder to my startup screen, found that it was not very useful and wanted to delete it by right-clicking on it and selecting Delete Group - nothing happened. Then I tried to add a tab to the group, selected it and then right-clicked on the Apps group and selected Delete - nothing. Then I tried to delete group and all its tabs - nothing. The only action I could do was moving the group to a new page. And in this context my other problem: How can I set

This is weird: to check what you suggested I just looked - - - - and it says unpin!! (no, using plain English) I will keep looking for this condition - maybe that was some kind of special icon that I tried to get rid of - I was in the process of experimenting with all the options. Cheers, Gunter
Hi, I accidentally added an item to the start menu and wanted to remove it again - but I did not find any delete or unpin (as in win10). The only one close was 'Hide' - is this now used to get rid of an unwanted item? As I am already asking questions: Whenever I add an icon to the start many, it is added as a medium size. I thought that the advanced setting "Shortcut icons should be sized - Small" should do this but this does not have an effect - is there something else I

hmmm, it looked like it worked and I got the whatsup icon showing but then, when I actually tried to start it, I got the message that it was missing some dll. But I found some way to get it going - in combination with start11: I had the Whatsup icon in my start menu and start11 gives me a right-click option to create an icon on the desktop. I did this and then dragged that desktop icon into my dock - and voilá! Cheers, Gunter
