start11 in Start Menu Products Stardock Forums

Hi, if there is a manual for start11 I would like to have and read it - till then I just ask my questions here :-) I have a shortcut to a folder on my desktop that I would like to have pinned in the start menu. There is a right-click item pin to start11 but that does not seem to do anything. Is this bug or am I doing something wrong - what would be the best way to get a folder pinned to the start menu? How do I pin universal apps? On my win10

I did install the trial version and start11 tried to mimic what I had in my win10 start screen. I had a few container tiles (one tile with several tiles inside) and that threw start11 into a loop. I uninstalled, re-arranged these few container tiles and installed again and this time start11 did a good job. Cheers, Gunter

Hi, I have put quite a bit of work into my win10 start menu, with nicely labeled groups, nearly taking the whole screen when popping up and I have developed muscle memory where things are. This kept me from going to win11 as all that is not available any longer. Now, if I go to start11 I can take this over to an upgrade to win11, but I don't want to lose all the customization that I put into my win10 start menu, so my question is, will start11 import whatever I have in my win1

Hi, is it possible to add those apps from the windows app store to a dock? I tried WhatsApp (dragging it from the start-up screen in windows 10 onto the dock. When I try to start it, I get Windows cannot find '5319275A.WhatsAppDesktop_cv1g1gvanyjgm!AppI. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. Hi, I guess this is an error report for the development team: When I create a new tabbed dock it shows the tabs only, hiding the icons below the bottom of the screen. After I drag the dock to a different location I can never get the dock to hide the icon area, meaning, wherever I try to put the dock, even in the same position it was initially, it will not autohide the icons. Hi, is it possible to move a quickdock menu with the mouse? For a tabbed dock I can drag the whole menu with my mouse but to move a quickdock, the only option I found is to open settings and then change it in 'Position'. Am I missing something, or is it really not possible? Cheers, Gunter

Hi, When I add a new quicklaunch dock, I get three icons by default. How do I add these (system-) icons to any other dock at a later time? I just tried to answer this question myself and created a new dock, with the intention to just drag one of the three item to the other dock where I wanted it. Hi, yes, that fixed the problem. One little thing remaining: I have one folder "More Icons" in the OD program folder that contains lots of .ico files and they automatically showed up. But there is one sub-folder "other" that contains .png files and this "other' folder does not show the icons it contains. I can search for one of those png icons and they are correctly assigned to a Dock item. Is there a specific type of png? Cheers, Gunter

Hi, yes, this is what I was used to before I upgraded to version 3. I tried to find a way to insert my own screen shot but don't see the option, so I describe it: I select Bundled Images on the left pane - right pane empty (it actually displays the text 'empty' at the top center of the pane. I right-clock and select open and it opens a new window with all my icons. Cheers, Gunter

Hi, I just updated my objectdock and it works fine - took all the items from my old installation, including custom icons, and shows all as expected. But then I created a new quicklauch doc, put a few links to pdfs in there and now wanted to change the icon to make them more recognizable. I right-click on the icon, select Settings, then Customize this icon and get a window with the title (choose icon (name of pdf). In the left pane I see folders like 'Bundled Images', D

I am an oldtime user of ObjectDock and sometimes struggle a bit on Windows 10. So I was glad to see that you now have a version out, updated for windows 10/11. I tried the trial version, and it did indeed try to work on my existing start menu but then got completely confused when it encountered the first tile group (you know where you combine several times into one and give it a name). After that the import attempt went down the hill. The tile groups seem to have been forgotten by the programmers of Start11. Looks like I have to stick with Win10 a bit longer - hopefully MS will see the light and bring that start menu from win10 back for win1

I just upgraded my hardware and also went to windows 10 and purchased a new license (as I could not find my old one anymore or was on a very old free version) because this program is rather important to me.
