More summoning. Several others have mentioned this above; I wholeheartedly agree. A hero can level up in summoning, but that does little good when the hero only has one or two summons. I would love to focus on the magic tree to the point where conventional troops can be ignored in favor of summoned creatures and spells.

This post is an interesting and polite discussion on the state of Elemental. During the discussion, a number of interesting ideas emerged, several of which I have sorted out and summarized below. First a bullet point list of ideas, with discourse beneath. Three distinct, differentiated tech trees. Option to upgrade building
Elemental has demons, dragons, drath, etc. that one can research up to. That said, I think there's a real pacing issue that needs to be addressed in the future. I am not convinced that we need 5 different tech trees. I could almost imagine it broken down to 3 like: Civilization Lore Magic where Warfare, Diplomacy, Adventure and Magic get split into these areas. O
I started playing the beta just before the release, and v.1. Then, I put the game down for a while, and have recently picked it back up with the beta builds leading up to 1.1. There are a lot of improvements, and I like the improvements – they do make it better. But the feeling I get now is how I felt after playing through version 1.0 the first two times – there’s nothing to look forward to, to entice "just one more turn." In MoM, there were cool spells (I kn
*Edit - Solved the problem by moving a ship I had on auto explore. Turns now end properly.* *Edit 2 - Happened again. Solved no-end-turn the same way - by manually moving a ship set to auto explore.* *Edit 3 - Has happened several times. Is a problem with auto-explore.* I have a similar problem. Can't end turn. Have loaded, reloaded, jumped back in time all to no avail. Simply can't get past this turn.
Debating the efficacy of various forms of Assembly is irrelevant. Yet that’s what this thread amounts to: Arguments in favor of conversations that are as broad as possible, watered down with off-topic discussion and rubbish digressions; a fear that clear, concise conversation might yield thoughts – dangerous thoughts. I never suggested anywhere replacing the forums. Never implied that the game's makers would take any notice whatsoever. I proposed that a handful of like-min
I like the intention but I get concerned that a real-time discussion doesn't allow everyone who wants to participate to do so and than only a small contingent of die-hard supporters of Stardock/Elemental will be heavily influencing the direction of the game. I'd rather like to see a more public version of a bug/feature implementation list, with related threads, almost like a forum but with each thread about a specific feature/bug/request, etc. I
On this forum, though there is a robust community and quite a lot of activity, ideas get diluted and a clear idea of how to move forward in/with Elemental becomes muddled. Reading through some 3 or 4 or 5 page discussions with 50+ comments can be very time consuming. Moreover it seems often these discussions can fire off tangentially, often leading to petty arguments over moot issues. One such example is over here: https://forums.elementalgame.com/396119. Zespri raised a wonderful topic, but
No.
Unfortunately, at this point, nothing has actually been discussed. Sure, a lot of words have been said, but they've all amounted to "This game and that game have poor AI."
Then let's organize a discussion. You don't get the thrill that's there at the start of a Civ game, as you explore your surrounding territory and you start to see how the terrain is going to affect your early to mid game.
Quoting SapSnark, reply 52So far we've mostly been hacking back and forth about Civ4 AI vs Elemental AI. BUT, As far as games go, what would be the top 3 gaming AIs? GalCiv/GalCiv2 has a mention. I'll put in a mention for the recent Paradox games. I'm amazed an AI can handle them at all (although maybe that's because I can scarcely handle them). Third - how about Thief/Thief 2. &nb

Sorry. Couldn't provide a proper save. On a positive note, it seems extraordinarily obscure.
It only happened that once, and when it happened I didn't think much of it - so I don't have a prior save. No matter how hard I try I can't reproduce it. I do have a save where the Sovereign gets XP every battle, even battles that she is not in, but not her entire stack. https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B8p6Szpwj85oODI1ZGVkNzYtMGFkYi00OGZmLTg3YjgtOTVkYzlkMTk4ZTA3&hl=en&authkey=COG_zLoP More Details regarding my first post: There seems to
Maybe. It was kind of random, though a similar thing did happen a second time - sorta - where buggers not in battle got level up. I will see if I can find a save before the event.
Not asking reviewers to take a second look - in time - seems a bit martyr-esque. Majors have asked for things before. Beyond the raging debate over major vs independent studios, the game media is a joke, and has been for some time. Games aren't films - they can get better over time. There is no good reason why re-reviews don't exist. Had I not read Tom Chick's comments

Ah, the consequences of hubris - that wretched parasite that grows in men's hearts, feeding from every success and leaving in its wake savage failure. And in the wake of failure the brutish forum fiends descend, seeking to rend the souls of men with barbed words. Despite all furor, one should never let a catastrophe go to waste. And Stardock, an independent bastion amidst the corporate morass, has on their hands a sterling opportunity. How will they proceed? Will this ru
Had set one stack to attack a wandering golem. Had another stack selected when I hit end turn. Battle commenced with first stack as attacker - even though first stack was out of movement. Battle won. Second stack received experience for the battle. First stack did not.
Have 1.07. For me: Loading saves from 1.06 works. Performance ~turn 200 much improved. Sovereign's children regen mana fast in battle - not Sovereign, and not fast outside of battle. All cities received MANY more build tiles. Spells are sometimes useful (do good damage).
As suggestion to Stardock, to quick fix/remove worst instances of this "feature": Resources adjacency to city should not be absorbed/encased in walls, if they already violate "not up to 4 tiles from other city" rule. Look the save I posted. If location of lost library was empty, no building could be built there due to being too close to other city. But since resources get auto-encased in walls when near the city, building the libr
