Personally I wouldn't expect massive changes from the 3c beta to the RTM build in terms of performance. There will be some changes obviously and if there is one root issue causing performance to be slow for you then it is possible it will be found and fixed prior to RTM. I don't know the min spec offhand for elemental, but I would have thought your system is probably near the bottom end of the range, so turning options off would be expected. I believe the trials are 60 minute trials of the full game in most cases. Though this may vary from game to game.
