I had 9 units defending a city. City is attacked and due to some unknown restriction 4 of my best units can't take place in the battle. Militia take their spots I guess. City is defended successfully but in the screen showing the results the 4 units that couldn't take part are killed by the game. WTF??!!! Rage quit time.

1.5 seems to have fixed my issues and I can still play the save-game. Thanks.
Zip file sent.
No, I'm not using any mods.
Managed to get the game to move one turn past the crash by changing my screen resolution and then it crashed again after that. Not sure why this would work.
Spoke too soon. :( I thought it was fixed because I got past it yesterday when I wasn't recording. Today I try to continue recording my YouTube series but it once again crashes at the same point. Very frustrating. And yes, it still crashes when the recording software is closed - I tested that.
Whatever the patch was that loaded on Steam today solved my crash issue. Thanks.
http://pastebin.com/i5ENWAaD I couldn't locate the ZIP file you mentioned. Game always crashes after a specific turn no matter what I do.
Hi all, Legendary Heroes is my favourite game of the last 12 months and I'm starting a new series with the latest DLC...
Pariden Guardians start with no weapons. They are fully kitted out in armour but do zero damage.
I'm finding that the name and city-name generator in Legendary Heroes (and ever since Elemental) is perhaps the worst execution of this sort of engine I have seen. Don't get me wrong, I love playing Legendary Heroes and it is probably my favourite game - but I find the random names it generates completely uninspiring. You can look at single-developer games such as Dwarf Fortress or Distant Worlds and the names they generate are simple amazing and offer so much to the flavour o
Agree with OP 100%. The UI has been the biggest issue with all the Elemental games. I love the game but hate the level of attention required to not make dumb moves.
If a hero is 'killed' while his army is successfully attacking a city you get two of the hero - one in the city you attacked and the other (along with the remains of the attacking army) in the closest other city. hmmm, has anyone else had this happen? I just tried to reproduce it and was not successful... more information would be appreciated.
This has happened to me a number of times now playing

The game is very enjoyable but there are a number of annoyances and items that really should be fixed before the game is launched: STRATEGIC MAP: Need an intuitive way to stop city-spam. I'd be happy with a city limit you build (not conquer) based on research. There needs to be a way to alert the player better when a city stops building. Forcing the player to keep pushing tab every turn to check what needs attention is what you

Anyhow, back to the topic... I totally support finding a different solution to the current 'raze and never use again' mechanic. Unrest for X turns and loss of population looks like the ideal solution. Even if the city is razed, the underlying tile should keep its fertility - at the very least.
I never really get my mage unit close enough to use the lightening spell. Here's some more episodes...
I am really enjoying the game and already have many hours logged away. There are however a few things I think would really help it along: 1. In tactical battles, before an attack takes place, allow the player to undo the movement. I have often clicked on the wrong square and screwed up my battle. Having an undo would be great. Before attacking there aren't any spoilers so there shouldn't be any issues game-play wise. 2. When you ask a player to leave your territory the
You can move a troop with the Berserk ability, click the ability, and then it will still move again in the same turn. This is a massive advantage and feels a bit glitchy.
Yes, was going to post exactly this. Love the mechanic and want it to stay but the costs need a bit of balancing.
