If you use adblock, make sure it's not stopping the postbox scripts and such.
The correct fonts are not loaded--try manually copying the fonts from the fonts colder to windows\fonts and see how it looks.

You really should not hot-plug displays in the first place. Doing so can cause hardware damage due to the voltage present on those connections.
Note the faintly green area near the cities--some map features generate arable land on their own.

Towns can only build in two tiles, AFAIK (each tile is divided into four small plots). That appears to be what you're seeing here.
The game uses zoom-to-cursor functionality. When you zoom in, it will zoom towards wherever your pointer is at.

If stickies showed as stickied on the recent page it'd be entirely full of them since it shows all the categories. And most people seem to use the direct views anyway, rather than the all-recent page.

Use the actual URL of the image itself (it'll end in .jpg/.png/etc), not a link to a page on their site.
Some are. As noted above lots of people are still submitting vague reports in the vein of "my game won't start", not including the needed attachments, or just putting stuff in there that doesn't belong.

It's the non-bug stuff that is a concern, because it either doesn't belong there at all

The minimum is indeed 1024x768, and as most netbooks have older intel graphics chipsets, it's going to be below the video requirement anyway unless it's one of the 11" models.
