As some users seem to be having issues with it, please make sure that when you provide a link it's something that actually points to a publicly viewable page. Some people have submitted things that go to your own user page on a third party site (such that it just shows the page for who's looking at it, rather than always yours), or things that not only require a login but a promotion or special access so that we can't confirm them.
Is there a way to pre-order using paypal? I'd like to pre-order through stardock so that I can get access to Beta 2, but the system won't allow me to use Paypal for pre-orders. I don't even mind paying for the game up front, if it'll grant me Beta 2 access.
The way paypal handles things prevents us from doing delayed charges as we'd normally do, but you can use paypal during the window for a short while after Beta 2 opens. In that time all new preorders will charge im
Please fix text at preorder page Beta access is currently closed. We will open the beta for access with the next major beta release later this spring.
Summer does not start for two more weeks.
Once selected they will then go ahead and charge you for the game(you haven't been charged yet), and send you a CD key. Am I correct in this?
There's no selection. All pending orders will be charged through and granted access when we open up Beta 2.
Also, please don't report threads from months ago. The focus is more on current and future activity (particularly insightful or helpful posts), or those on other sites that bring attention to Elemental.
are you seriously trying to tell me that the combat will be that symbolic and underwhelming and that you will not enter the combat arena with greatly detailed and animated units like in King's Bounty
Hi Hortz. Bye Hortz. Please bother to catch yourself up on the news before you make another account to try again.
To be honest I will first download the game from a torrent site... and if i like it i WILL buy it ... most of the time even those great games we download and play ... for free
Asking for particular features elsewhere then making an "I'll steal your game unless it perfectly pleases me" ultimatum is not the best idea. You'll find we don't respond well to threats. You do not deserve to have commercial games for free regardless of your location or financial
We currently have no plans for any European localizations, as most users tend to prefer English over translations in games anyway. Doubly so in a fantasy title with so much lore and unique stuff that would translate poorly, if at all. So you can safely go ahead and get the digital download if you don't need a box.
My tendency is to order through impulse (they make these things too convenient)
We *are* Impulse, so either is fine.
Impulse (via archives or impulse anywhere) does allow for transferring things to offline machines, but for the time being the beta requires a direct connection so it doesn't make a great difference. I'm not sure of our exact plans for the final release offhand, but it should be playable on an offline machine at that point. Pricing on Elemental is in USD; local currency display is just for convenience.
It's fine if people have stopped reporting for now, as at this point our internal build is so far removed from the last public build that such reports wouldn't be terribly meaningful. It's still a ways off from being ready for public testing, though.
Just noting that the reoundup was updated this past Monday. In case I forget to note it here, expect updates on elemental.kryofx.com the Monday afternoon following new builds.
Please also provide any dump files that are generated when reporting a crash.
Please provide any dumps the game produced when reporting a crash. As this is a reproducible crash with save/load, the savegame would also be very helpful.
Please post each issue report in an individual thread. Collections make it more difficult to summarize and categorize reports for developer review.
Please provide your debug.err and any dump files when reporting a crash (if it is a save/load issue, also provide the savegame), as per the reporting guideline stickies.
I don't remember the drones in that game, maybe they were something like Workers in Civ4?
Drones were the red-faced citizens that didn't produce anything, and were prone to riots if not managed properly.
For future reference please use Dropbox or a proper direct-link image host when posting images for bugs. Free generic upload sites such as Sendspace, Rapidshare, etc, add unnecessary hassle to get the image.
The next opening will be the release of Beta 2 (soon). Any preorders made prior to that point will be charged then, and those users will gain access to the beta.
Best contact about that.
Did their sovereign die or flee?
Gildar is the name of the currency. They're still coins minted of gold, though :p
IIRC the current build introduced buffs to garrisoned units, probably related to that.
When designing or when training the unit? Please give clear descriptions and a debug.err file.
Cities have gates which aren't well represented on the cloth map, that's where they should be exiting when you eject them.
