We've tracked it to an interaction between Havok and the ATI drivers, but if you guys can post your debug.err files they may still be helpful.

It is indeed a bug, but for the time being you should be able to get past the levelup screen, just keep in mind that the hotspot of the cursor is at the end of the top-left leg of the X, rather than at the center.
