Everything GOG sells is under contract from the rights-holders, just like any other legitimate DD store. There's no excuse for pirating it under claim of "abandonware".

You can click through the "leads to" and "requires" options in the in-game hiergamenon to browse the tree.
At present there is no mechanism for providing a notice when an upload is rejected, so if you have a map or mod that you'd like to upload in-game, please take note of the following guidelines: Provide a unique/descriptive name. Please don't upload mods with single-character names or nothing beyond the map's tile size, etc. Otherwise, as the library grows in size these sorts of names will cause a lot of confusion
Impulse should install automatically with a retail install (the update popup in-game just calls Impulse to start), but please note that Windows XP64 is not a supported OS for either Impulse or the game.
What race/tech tree are you using? Are you using the egalitarian trait also, or only male units?
Some users experiencing this found it to be caused by leftover bits of older drivers--you may try using a driver cleaner to fully remove your current ones, then reinstall 10.9 from safe mode.

The game writes the debug.err file continuously starting from each time you run the game, so there will always be one. As harpo pointed out though, please update your video drivers--your current ones are more than a year old. Especially if you're getting driver reset notices, as that indicates a failure in the driver itself. I'd also strongly advise sticking with the current version of the game (even if it appears to behave the same) just so we can eliminate that as a potentia
Everything on the website here was ported from the game itself--you can see the in-game Hiergamenon entries by clicking the unlocked/subsequent items in the tech descriptions.
See if Dell or Intel have any newer video drivers available--the one you have appears to be reporting that it supports features it actually does not. As well, you may want to try increasing the amount of memory allotted to the video chipset in the Intel driver settings if possible.
The only way to get older updates is to have archived them while they were available. We only provide the latest version and only via Impulse/Impulse anywhere.
While it's odd that the game is trying to rebuild the data.zip when it already exists and matches the data folder's contents, it is completely normal for it to take several minutes to build the new zip file.
Delete the data/english folder where you installed the game at (uninstall won't remove files that didn't come with the game), and the mods folder under my documents/my games/elemental. Then shift-right click the game in Impulse and choose verify. That will replace any deleted files that the game needs.
Unfortunately it is because your video card is too far below the minimum requirements (the game needs a Radeon x1 series card or better). You will need to upgrade or play on a different machine.
If you have the units selected, you should be able to just click a tile outside the city to move them out there.
Please open your debug.err file in notepad, and link the contents into a post here via [link="http://pastebin.ca"]pastebin[/link]. This will give us some technical information that can help troubleshoot your problem. The file can be found in My Documents\My Games\Elemental Be sure to copy the debug immediately after the error occurs; if you start the game again, the debug log will be erased and recreated for the new session. Sales/support should automatically issue a ticket when you mail in, so if you haven't at least gotten that, make sure that it didn't get spam filtered. If it's just an issue of paypal express checkout (which skips the billing info entry and assumes the same as your paypal info), you should be able to sort that yourself using this page . Just enter your paypal email on the left and your impulse email on the rig
There's no difference in the download version between the two. If you ordered an LE box, you'll get one shipped that contains the goodies (all physical-only).
If this is a Google ad issue, why would I still get the warning when logged in and viewing the site ad free?
The "badlist" doesn't know that you're getting the page without ads.
It'd be on the My Games tab where you download the game at, not on the store page. As you don't have a my games tab, then that likely means you don't have the game registered. If you bought it direct from us, should be able to help sort that out.
There's a view registration option if you right click the game within Impulse.
Can you post a savegame with this occurring?
