These days I name my cities in a manner that tells me what the bonus they need is when this screen comes up. Useful for the occasional time when the screen doesn't centre on the city.
Yep!

When it comes to city spam, I always build on resources, but I only upgrade my forts if they will benefit from the upgrade. For example, if I have a gold mine in my fort I know that when my fort grows to level 2, I will be able to upgrade my gold production 25% and when it grows again to level 3, I'll get another upgrade of 30%. So I upgrade this fort as high as I can for the increased production. If the fort has no upgradabl
What happens to the wife of your son when you go to war with your daughter in law's parents? Does she stay with your son are does she go back to her people?
Hey Frogboy, is there an ETA on 1.1?
It would be nice if the whole dynasty system actually mattered. Make the turns "seasons" and give some recognizable sense to ruler/child aging. Give the ruler a target life-span based on constitution; they could even add spells to extend life. Then when the ruler does finally die, his or her heir could take over as the leader. Etc. etc. There is so much unmet potential here.
Yep, said better
I get married as soon as possible every game and then it takes about 30-50 turns before we pump out first child, then it takes 100-150 turns before the child grows up, but by then the game is pretty much over on a medium map. I guess my question is, doesn't it seam to take a long time to get your family up and running and for your children to grow up? Plus, with the AI so weak and "Vanilla" I don't really see a point of marring off any of my daughters to loser
And what do the caravans do, in reguards to food?
So I got extra food each turn world wide but, I have -2 food in some towns. Might Some one explain the effect this -2 food has in those towns and what I can do to fix it? Also, how will this change in 1.1? Thanks in advance
I am enjoying Elemental and have even gotten over the AI's habit of city spaming. However, I got to say that the current AI is dummer than dirt and that none of the NPC AI have any differences at all in personalities. In most of the other games made by Stardock, the AIs have different personality, they reacted differently to you and to what you do. In Civ games you know some leaders will attack you no matter what you did, while others will go&nb
So what happens to a hero if if I kill that hero's sovereign? Do they go back into the hero pool so they can be hired by another sovereign?
Is there anyway to look at your cities when you get the "new level message"? I ask because I can't always remember what each city is specializing in and it would be nice to know before you pick one of your 3 option upgrades. Thanks in advance
I played my 1st V1.09E game yesterday and I could not find the caravan tech anywhere in the tech tree. Anyone know where they moved it, please? Thanks in advance
Up front I'd like to say I am really starting to love Elemental, of course I've had to ask a buch of basic game play questions on this forum in order to understand what's going. A manuel would of helped, but oh well. Thanks again for all the help figuring Elemental out. The point of this post is to point out what I feel is the number one thing that will cause me to lose interest quickly and that is the ease in which cities can be build by both the player and the NPC. C
Once I take over one of the NPC worthless spamed cities is there anyway to just raze it? I want to wipe them out I just don't want to keep all their cities that seam to be placed by every single resourse, dang!
Can someone please explain how I get mounts once I've got the "Wild Horses" resource? Thanks in advance PS I hope everyone agrees that the song "Wild Horses", by the Rolling Stones is an all time classic rock & roll song!!
Yep, silly question, but I was wondering if after you stop laughing at my newbie question, someone might explain to how to buy items in your towns? Thanks in advance!
Very nice Zubaz, thanks. (hehe) My eyes were starting to cross, trying to read them before map spawned!!
Strange question huh? But here's the deal. Just before any new "random world"or saved game finishes loading there are some pretty cool strategy suggestions, but my PC must be top of the line cause it loads so fast I can't finish reading the suggestions. Again my questions is, "Can you stop or pause the game from loading when the strategy suggestions load, so you can actually read them? Are is the some other place you can go to read them? Thanks in advance<
Part 3 : Look after invocation book You want the invocation book, you don't have a lot of money to spend in wages or to train unit, so you are looking after invocation which will be your main force for a long time. You can train scoot at the same time to discover the world and see where to go next. You also want to marry yourself as children are far better to sovereign, they are expendable commandant, their death in ennemy borders won't entail
I am not getting my troups out of the city by pressing the V key, do I need to click troups or another key with the V key??
V to "vacate" a settlement, aka make all troops move out. That's definitely the most useful hotkey IMO.
Thanks for the one reply I can actually use.
I ask this question, hoping to find a few way to make building my Kingdom a bit easier. For example, what keys do you press in order to take all your troups out of a settlement? Or to just take some troups out? Plus, what other keys do you find helpful?
So right now the shards only seem to affect the essence of your units (10% increase for each controlled shard) and allow you to cast certain high-level spells that have a "you need one XY shard"-restriction. Rabenhoff
So it sounds like shards are still worth going for. Thanks
What's up with shards? Do they even work? If they do work, what do they do?
You can't join hero to caravan making a group, just like every other unit does?
