I think its safe to say that we all know you are not like the guy who is the dev for the old Battlecruiser games who openly flames/trolls his fanbase. The fact that people have to be so guarded about shit talk, hiding their feelings, is sad IMO. So GJ venting.

real-time + 4x = annoying to play or overly simplistic garbage. When I play a 4x game I at least want it to be as indepth as like Civ 4 or maybe Space Empires 5. Real-Time "4x" type games like what Paradox make are fairly simple compared to most 4x games except for Victoria. Victoria is the only real-time game with the depth that I like in a 4x game that i've seen work, though the problem with that is that combat and building/managing city production like in a C

This has been in development since BEFORE Master of Orion 3 was even announced. Freeciv, a similar project, was well developed by that timeframe in its development. This project will be finished by about 2020.

Freeciv was FAR more quickly developed than this. I can expect a "finished" product to never really arrive.
This game + expansion is probably one of the greatest games ever created. I play it until this day, ridiculous replayability, awesome mods, overall this game if you like strategy is GOLD. I play it multiplayer as well, it is fun. This game is more complicated than HOI2, but it actually is more fun as well.
windows 7 = vista that works. So why would this game not work on windows 7?
