Trade route income from adjancy bonus has no effect at all. I have a trade capital next to a trade center, but on the trade route it only shows the base modifier. Which is called trade route value, suggesting trade route income is something else. But I don't see it on the planet either.
Morale, what is it good for? Absolutely nothing. I'll say it again. [e digicons];)[/e]
You must be a Drengin if that's your version of the song :) I understand it is a bit more complex calculation for production, because it seems to be a compound interest thing, that is, the base is multiplied by the approval modifier before the other modifiers are applied. But must be doable fo

Ah, thanks. I see that now. But why doesn't it say so? All bonuses are displayed, but this one is hidden and there is no hint to it anywhere (the tooltip on Morale just mentions Influence, Growth and Resistance). I know how to build enough morale, always took morale choices too, but thought that maybe I just followed old habits that were no longer valid. But a bonus to all certainly is worth it.

In all the strategy games I played morale (happiness) was one of the most important things in the game, affecting everything else. So i kept it at 100% on all my planets in GalCiv III too. But when I look at it, it really doesn't do much. A small percentage bonus on 0.1 is neglectable. And you are far better of builing a growth / influence building if that is wat you really need. I naturraly assumed unhappy people would produce less, but when I destoyed all morale buildings on my largest

So I really did miss something. I misread Nordor's post, I did not see it was specific for the escort ship. There it does make sense to put on defense and nothing else, using it as a shield for the rest. I will try the tactic as soon as I can get myself to researching defense techs. Maybe I'll even put some extra hitpoints on it.

Everybody beats the AI. Mostly from having larger fleets. But OK, let's have a fight. You spend your 10 points on 3 defense on all and 1 attack. Take any amount of hitpoints. I get 10 attack and no defense, with the same hitpoints. Maybe a bit less attack, but not much in the current state of the game. Early in the game we do not have those kind of hitpoints, but also not attack so see it as percentages. First round, you hit 1 hitpoint. I destroy your shield with my 9 atta

OK, I see your point naselus. Colony spam being the only right strategy makes the game boring, as a good strategy game should offers choices, or at least a disputable break-even point. Having said that, my point stands that if the colony-spam phase is short and gambling on too many colony ships can get you behind on development, you can still have a good game. Oh,BTW, I am a fervent single-player-TBS player, so arguments on MP will not land with me [e digicons]:)[/e] . As an example,

I was rather surprised the specific defenses returned in GalCiv III. I never built any on my ships in II, and I have not done it in III yet. That extra gun I always find more usefull, whether my opponent has defense to it or not. And that is not counting to be able to skip all the research. I was beginning to think I am overseeing something as people on this forum seemed to find them necessary but I am afraid naselus is right here.
This helps me stay into a game, continue playing ect... The down side is if I have to restart or finish a game, then it's hard for me to get into it for the first hour or so of playing. [e digicons]:([/e]
That's funny, to me it is the other way around. I like to start new games with new settings / races to explore the galaxy again. After a while it gets tedious for me. But it seems Stardock did a good job
I disagree, just fill the map with players [e digicons]:)[/e]
That would help a bit but I am afraid the challenge will still be gone after you conquered a few AI. But whatever your cup-of-tea, I have never been the kind of player who would play marathon games. I always liked it GalCiv prevented the early rushes by making planetary invasions an expensive tech. It seems it is a lot earlier available

I like this much better than the spam of threads whith loud shouting out how much a genius you are. It may get you attention but as you can see it is not positive attention. I am not sure if you care though, you seem to be craving for any. I do hope you continue the game to show that it is indeed possible to get those numbers and how. Something like the Strategy & Tips on civfanatics would be a great addition to this forum. But I also think there is a misconception here. These sup

I frequently have this after upgrading a ship. Which would comply with androwshalforc's observation that it happens after stats change. Hope this gives a tiny nudge into the right direction where to search the origin of this annoying bug.

I must say I was a bit surprised I could get the game half price before the game was even released, while others had alread prepurchased it at full release price. So I certainly understand the sentiment of the OP. Now you can say, that's just the way it is, but I do not think he deserves the rudeness he is getting here. I already noticed it seems the community on the Stardock forum does not handle critisism very well.

The tooltip of a fleet shows the number of moves left for the fleet. This will randomly disappear. The only solutions is to exit to desktop and load the game again. I noticed this in 1.0 two or three times. But now that I have 1.01 I already had it five times in two turns. I do not know what pattern there is to what causes it because it is not certain it did happen in my previous action already. I will see what my last actions were (attacking a pirate I believe the last time), maybe other can
