But if you're referring to injuries the way Dominions uses them, then I'm all for that. It's the best way yet that I've found to keep heroes/cha

I downloaded the beta tonight and had enough time to play the tutorial. I found some bugs while playing, and have a request. 1. The terrain square in the upper right doesn't always show the food and production for tiles. I couldn't find rhyme nor reason as to why it sometimes does and sometimes doesn't. 2. I clicked the research button to bring up the research screen after I had already chosen Mining, so I could look at what was available. Not that t
I upgraded to Elemental 1.2 this morning, through Impulse, and had two log files pop up on the screen, saying there was an error activating something and that I needed to re-activate. I figured I could open the files later, since they were just text, and closed the notepad windows. I then did a right-click on Elemental in Impulse and chose re-activate, but nothing happened as far as I could tell. When I right-click on Elemental I still see an option to re-activate.&nb

It seems to me that using limits on a Pioneer to control the number of cities isn't the way to go. There should be another mechanic that keeps the number of cities in check. For example, in Civilization 3 / 4 , the mechanic was corruption. The more cities, and the further away from your capitol, the more corruption ate at your gold. In Civilization 5 , the mechanic is Happiness. I'm sure there are a number of mechanics that Elemental could use to limit the num
Because of an article in Rock, Paper, Shotgun called Mine The Gap I've been playing a LOT of Minecraft lately :) Warning: This game is highly addictive [e digicons][/e] The game got so popular after the Mine the Gap articles that the Minecraft server got overloaded this past week
It is spreading trees/flowers automatically in my territory, which make no tiles for the city to build improvements. How to chop the trees/flowers?
As someone else said, the trees were already there. You're just seeing them better when the terrain changes to the Kingdom/Empire tile set. To get rid of forests, research the spell that turns any tile into a mountain, and then use the lower land spell on the same tile.<
That's pretty funny [e digicons]\o/[/e]
Another possible problem is an Out of Memory error, and the game is auto-saving, and you're playing in full screen mode. Basically, you can't see the OOM error when you hit end turn because of playing in full screen, so it looks like the turn isn't ending, but you've actually got an error window you can't see. Try playing in windowed mode, and see if you get an OOM error popup window when you click end turn.
You can try destroying the buildings in the other city that are too close. Rebuild them on another side of the city. You need 4 empty tiles between cities. [X] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [X]

How can I see what they are trading?
Caravans give a food bonus (as a %), so unless you really want a road between two particular cities, always send a Caravan to a food-producing city. The bonus is larger the farther away the source city is from the destination city.
Are there patch notes for today's (Saturday, Sept 18) patch? I saw the Update notice when I called up Impulse just now, so I came to the forum to see the patch notes, but can't find them.

My computer is a Q9450, 8G RAM, EVGA GTX 280 (w/current driver), Windows 7 64-bit, and I'm getting Out of Memory errors every few turns when trying to save. I've uploaded the debug.err file to pastebin, and here's the link: http://pastebin.ca/1943354

+1 to keep the City Building. I enjoy it. My biggest request is to greatly expand the magic system. You don't have to make it just like MoM, but at least use the concepts of elemental spell differences, resistances, and world spells. I hope this can be part of 'B.'
Unfortunately I need that food for housing for two cities. Food is a unique resource in the sense that it is capped and you never really get too much of. I haven't had any problems having enough food, due to the use of Caravans.
Ya, there was a staff that increased tactical speed by 0.25.
There are both the Master Quest, which you can get when you reach Quest Level 5, and the Spell of Mastery, which you can get through researching Sorcery / Magic, and learning.
