Frogboy and the devs. Take a serious look at Anno 1404/Dawn of Discovery for inspiration on how to really do a great campaign that also acts as a tutorial. There is an 8 chapter campaign, took me about 20-25 hours to complete (I took my time a bit). It had a great story and had definable goals in each chapter. But it also acted as a great tutorial. You always got advice on what you needed to build or do to reach the goal. For example, in one chapter you

I'm trying to get caught up on things here as I'm putting Demigod off to the side for now so forgive me if this has been addressed already. - I believe it was stated before that there will be custom units such that as upgrades or more resources become available you can upgrade them. Like you have a Knight who with a horse becomes a calvary unit who with a magic sword becomes an Avenger and so forth. The question is, will there be a way to "save" these cust
What I meant was whether this was Boogie's idea with the rest of the team's approval, or if he was just the chosen front-man.
Well, I'd say it's official since Stardock has several other twitter accounts for things like Impulse and Frogboy himself has a twitter account as well as Zoomba. They are using Twitter to get the word out. Like yesterday they had a poll on Twitter for what new game coming out you want Impulse to

Reply to Cloth map? in War of Magic

I think of it this way: In Gal Civ 2 you can zoom all the way out to the point everything becomes icons and you can still play the whole game that way. You can also control the zoom amount at which point it turns to icons. So with Elemental I think it's the same thing. At a certain zoom out it turns into the cloth map with icons on it for your units/cities/etc. and you can still play the game.

I don't care much for Twitter in general but I use it all the time to follow certain companies for updates. So I have a Twitter account and rarely actually post anything. I don't follow anyone to see what they had for lunch. I DO follow companies like Stardock and people like Zoomba and Frogboy to get the latest updates on games and patches. I DO follow a couple local newspapers/radio stations to get local news. I DO follow a few NFL related people, inclu

So I've been playing Demigod a lot. It's a fun game to be sure. But over time now it's starting to remind me why I don't like multiplayer games in general: 1) Tards online (more like 12 yr olds) 2) Ragequitters 3) Fun factor just goes down as more idiots joing the game online I'm so ready to return to my roots, single player focused strategy game. Bring it!

drool...... I am a map geek as well and I used to spend my bored time in high school making made up worlds with maps. I will love this feature for sure.

Usually the very first beta in Stardock products are to test the range of systems that can run the game. So once the first beta is out the specs should start locking down on what it can run on.
What do you mean by "sandbox mode"? Do you refer to "skirmish" or "quick battle" where you set up pre-conditions against the AI/other players? I've just never heard of "sandbox" used in conjunction with a TBS or RTS.
Think like any of the Civilization games. You choose some parameters for the game such as map type, number of AI, difficulty level, how fast tech goes, is trading allowed, etc. and then the game randoml

Ok, I think I need to pony up and pre-order. That way if I get laid off next year it's already paid for and I've got something to play while collecting unemployment. [e digicons][/e]
Thanks, Kryo. I should have known my usual loose grip on numbers was working. Where should I watch for word that the pre-order via tokens is available?
There is a link on the TGN site for games you can order that are on Impulse only and I'm pretty sure I saw the Elemental pre-order in the list.
