I also had a class 26 planet in my last game right next to my home system. Luckily it was in a corner and I beat all AI's to it. The bad thing is it had no special bonus tiles. ;(

Yes, the latest patch is all rolled up into the Bonus Pack. Perhaps you missed the "YES this is the Friday first update!" listed there. Or you can just use Stardock Central and it will update your files for you with no worries about if you are getting the right versions or not.
Perhaps you might want to read the journal entry where Stardock said they would take care of you and send you the tech tree and make sure you can get the electronic items. Just drop them an email and they'll do you right.
What's funny is that I see your medals. Perhaps you don't see your own but everyone else does? Do you see mine?
Pretty low priority obviously but I was wondering why I'm not seeing any medals for myself in the forums? I've submitted 2 games so far to the Metaverse and I'm not having any other account troubles. Thanks!
Have you installed the update? It fixed the crash in the ship designer (basically forces the description dialog to always be on top).
Very possible that they are blocking IRC at their firewall at which point there isn't much you can do. Might want to check with their IT to see if that's true if there aren't any other ideas.
And if you don't have a clear advantage then you can use something like Mass Drivers to tilt the blance in your favor.
Easiest way to declare war as stated is to just attack a ship of the Civ you want to attack. However you can also do is in diplomacy. Say you want to attack the Drengin. Dial up the Torian and trade with them. Offer them on your side that you will attack the Drengin and give it to them. They will thank you. As soon as you finish up the talks you'll find yourself at war with the Drengin. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smi
i think putting this on sdc would solve all this confusion. Frankly their decision to not have it there to make it faster and avoid confusion is just causing more of it. They should just put patches and updates on sdc like they've always done. Its what we've come to expect. At the very least if they are going to have it downloaded from the site as this is, then it should
I think the flash is on purpose. Kinda like an electric spark. You are talking to machines after all.
What temp is it getting to? Many temp monitors are set way to low to begin with so just up the temp alarm. Most likely this is in the Bios of your computer so you'll need to go in there and adjust or just turn them off.
You need to reserach the tech that allows for the Transport ship to be built. I think it's "Planetary Invasions". There is a whole tech line dedicated from there for invasions, things like space marines and so forth and at some point you get the advanced troop modules which allows you to make a troop transport that can carry more troops.
It listed in many places including stickies up top. Collectors Edition gets you a GalCiv 2 desktop theme and about 15 extra ship items (jewelry only, nothing that effects the ships stats). And of course a printed manual and tech tree.
Look guys, it's not that hard. You simply go into Stardock Central and archive the game which creates a zip archive which you do with as you please. It really is that simple. I did this in GalCiv 1 all the time. I archived the game. I then ran that archive on my laptop which installed the game there (i never have had SDC on the laptop). After a few updates I might archive again and then install it on the laptop again so that the laptop has all the updates. I think too
Uhhhh, huh? Just archive the game in Stardock Central and this will create a zip archive. Simply burn that to a CD or store it in some other safe location and viola, instant back *including all updates and patches installed so far*. Oh, and nobody forced you to not get a CD. You could have easily had Stardock ship you the boxed game and you'd still be able to download it with your serial as soon as you got the serial number.
We're number 1!!
Make sure you have GNN news activated to show. That is probably the prompt you're talking about.
You can buy tech's? Sure. I can even trades ships for techs. One way to play a game is to be the arms dealer. Build ships and sell/trade them to others that are at war for cash or techs.
Similar question: 1 got GalCiv 2 with my TGN subscription. I have however ordered the $20 CE upgrade. Now, can I use my TGN serial to download the CE stuff or should I wait for the box to get to me? And related, should I update Stardock Central with the CE serial number for GalCiv 2? Thanks!
There are some things with the forum that are a bit weird in Firefox, in particular the login box. One thing that can help is if you use AdBlock Plus to add galciv2.com to your whitelist. Also allow popups for galciv2.com.
Oh yea, they rock. I had a ralley point called "Operation Yellow" which I sent my transports to to prepar my invasion of the Arceans and had another one called "Altarian Prophecy" on the other side of the galaxy for an attack on them. Once both were wiped out only the Drengin survived. I created a new ralley point called "Die Drengin Die". Then I went into the governor and reset all ships going to the previous 2 ralley's to divert to the new one. So in one fell swoop I had dozens of ships c
Where'd you find it at? I can definitally use it. Kyle Just go to the Nvidia site.... www.nvidia.com and download the latest driver. Good luck.
Hmmmm, well according to the Nvidia site you can just download the latest Forceware drivers and the latest release is less then 2 months old. The unified drivers support cards dating back 5 years.
What kind of video card is it? I don't think HP makes video cards themselves. Find out the brand and get updated drivers from the maker themselves.
