I haven't been able to launch the game since its release last month. Today, NVIDIA released new Verde drivers and it fixed my problem! I highly recommend NVIDIA users update their drivers if having problems. I chose to do a clean install with this version.

I'd be happy if someone at Stardock cared that I can't even launch the game. No reply to a ticket submitted on day 1. Maybe I'm in the minority here but no response at all after almost a month? [e digicons]:thumbsdown:[/e]

No suggestions and sadly it's looking like we may not get one anytime soon. I reported this on day one and have still heard nothing. I know they are very, very busy but there are some of us who would love to at least try this game! I will note again that it seems like the mobile version of the Nvidia graphics card might be a problem. I have the 540m card. I also tried using just the built in Intel driver and then just the 540m. Neither option worked. [e digicons]:([/e]

I've never been able to even start the game even with the patches. I get a similar appcrash. Interesting that I'm using an nVidia 540m and you have an nVidia 550Ti. Maybe some kind of nVidia problem?

Hopefully we will be able to download just the patch for those of us who still can't even launch the game? [e digicons]8|[/e]

Someone mentioned earlier that there could be problems if your Display was set anything other than 100% in the "Make it easier to read what's on your screen" section.

I can't get it to run either. I tried to install it on another one of my computers and it worked. There must be some kind of hardware issue. The computer it's not working on is a Dell XPS l502x. Make sure to send in the requested files to Stardock support.

I've download the entire thing twice now and installed and the game will not start. I'm not running any other programs or virus protection. Wow, the support from Stardock on this issue has been stellar. [e digicons]:|[/e] Anyway, I uninstalled the game and went through the over 2gb download again. I only patched up to 1.2a and the game is working now. As for [email protected] , I would recommend dropping the 'ignore customer' approach and try something different. [EDIT] Just wanted to add that I finally did hear from [email protected]. <

I'm having the exact same problem. I've registered the game, I'm logged in to Impulse and nothing. I've emailed Stardock support and have heard nothing back from them. You would think that a game that shows up in Impulse as registered would run. All of my other Impulse games are fine. I guess I'll try uninstalling/re-installing next but the thought of downloading the entire game again doesn't sound like fun. [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e]

Nice, oddrheia. I did as you said and it worked! I was going to set Elemental aside for a while but now I'm off to try it once more. Hopefully no more crashing! Thanks for the suggestion!

I'm showing version 1.08. I don't think I have the hotfix. With Civ5 coming out in a few days I think I might set this aside for a while. I love this game but the crashing is killing me.

I installed your fix and started a new game. The game crashed again in a tactical battle. I'll add the new files to the same location above. I hope this gets fixed in the next patch. I can't play Elemental anymore until this is fixed. [e digicons]:'([/e] [edit] I added my last save before the crash.
