Ive had a starting location like that in my first game of the 1.00v. I researched tech SUPER fast. When i startet my second game i was disapointet with the lack of lost libs :D His just lucky.
I also still get OOM messages with Cata 10.8 Its all good tough i run dual screen, On my right monitor i have the resource monitor open. When Elemental Approch 1400 mb i just save exit and reopen. Gives me another hour of playtime :D
I didnt vote xD I should properly have picked the "im disapointed" but then again im not really because i know how stardock work with there games.In 6 month to a year from now the game will be completly different just like GalCiv 1+2 was it. If it takes expansion packs then thats fine with me.
Yes some UI love would be nice. Some balancing still needs to take place i think and some tuning of the combat system. Spells do odd dmg and stuff like that its to unpredictable. And then im on a x64 system with ATI card = memory leaks all over the place. But thats also the only problem ive had with the game since the 1.05 patch. Good game. A little rough but i know that with Stardocks support it will be great down the road.

Hallo i couldnt find it in the ingame encylopedia. Is it a natural ressource i need to harvest or something a building crafts?
Yeah like iviv66 said. Had same problem with early Empire total war. it was only 32 bit and they released a patch that made i large address aware(it takes a recompile of the binary they said). But Frogboy said they are working on a x64 bit version.
I also got ATI 10.7 and Win7 x64. Was playing along fine when suddenly the game froze. I alt tabbed out to find a OOM message. At that point the mem usage was around 1500mb. Lets hope for a x64 binary for the game soon, the days of 32 bit gaming is dead :P

For healing you have a few options. Station them in a city - will slowly healt them Equip them with med packs - will slowly heal them, can be researched Spells, Mass Heal - can be researched cost 15 mana. Strategy type spell Heal - also researched, tactical type spell for use in battles. Thats the 4 options i know off. You can properly get/buy healing pots for your hero also.
Ehhmm i dont think you can translate EWOM's units to real men running around. Its an abstraction. Imagin 1 man represents maybe 1000 solders xD
Hallo If i ´create a caravan and send it from one of my cities to another one of my cities i get a road between them. Do this do anything? Also if i send a caravan to a friendly faction, do this do anything? I ask because i was able to form a trade pact with a faction without having any roads leading to them. Wasnt sure if you needed to. Can anyone explain how the whole trading aspect works? with pacts and caravans? Thank you.

Ha ha Voqar. I agree, im not playing the game untill the day-0 patch. Mostly due to crashes which i hope wiil be fixed. I do think the game is very good but lacks a bit of polish in its current state but i read that the day-0 patch should fix some of this to. But yes the ESC key absolutly needs to go out the window in its current state. It should close windows not pop the option screen!!!! GRRRR!?!

You can research spells later to heal both in map mode and combat mode. The strategic one is a bit expensive mana wise. But still nice to have in a pinch. I also think you can buy stuff, and medical packs that you can use to regen life.
I got the same problem, After a fresh install and 1 hour of play my debug.err file is already 300kb and full of errors and warrnings. The game is also getting strange. Seems like mouse is offset from the graphics. Turns take slow to load/finish(in a unatural way, only got 2 settlements so not a large game), Spells in combat dont display graphics. Num Enter for finishing turns seem sporadic, works sometimes othertimes not. Otherwise then that i really like the game xD J

VicenteC sometimes we dont control everything around us. I get assigned to a project some other guy worked on. That guy decided to use extremly long names for everything he did. Brancheing multiple times then starts giving problems. Reworking everything he did would take a crap load of time. So no not my shortcommings but someone elses. Ok let me cut it out. I dont have intentions of installing keylogger or trojans on my work pc. Well i just posted here because it was the only board i knew had a personal computing section. Its not about hacking my system or anything. Its about i often need to move some files around. Be it dll files i used for programming or other stuff. I understand alot of people posted in this thread no nothing about development but i can tell you that moving files around is a common task and have nothing to do with hacking, cracking or anything else. on linux i can log in as root when i need to perform tasks that affect the system. On windows i cant evern copy a dll into the windows folder. And seriously im not a complete idiot so i know that "security stuff is there for a reason bro" maybe thats why i ´have a admin account and my normal restricted user account. But when i cant even perform admin tasks on my admin account it starts to piss me off. And trust me im not going job hunting over this? are you stupid?
