I would like to think we all agree that the heart of Elemental is solid, No one seems to disagree that it is not polished. I have enjoyed some of it, but there are areas where it seems it wasn't finished. Now, if "fanboys" like us beta testers are raising questions, what is the casual gamer, who doesn't come here to look at the journals, supposed to think?
Um...what does this even offer?
I hope extensive mechanics changes will *not* stop with 1.1. The tactical combat system needs work, even though it's got better. Cities need work. In both cases, the system itself needs revision. Balance also needs a huge amount of work.
So, the tactical combat...is almost identical to MoM's you know that right? Just needs more bilities.

Yeah I have barely seen horses as well... I would love to see more done with horses, it was pretty cool when you got your first horse an gave it to your main dude.

All I want to see is: 1) Tactical skills/abilities: these need to be beefed up. 2) Spells: More options, beef them up a bit. 3) Quests: A better ability to randomly add quests. 4) RESISTANCES: This is huge, there has to be elemental, magic, normal weapons...etc resistances. Thats 4 top things to me.
Quoting wynams, reply 3 cuz hex maps, AAA level polish and working multiplayer out of the box suck amirite? Enough "wynams". You don't have Civ V and I suspect you don't have Elemental.
Yeah he played 100 hours of elemental, got bored and asked for a refund which he got then cam back to the frums to cause shit....(this from another board minus the shit part.)

Sounds like some good things commin, I cannot wait:) Lets get beyond the whining and look to the future. PS: I highly doubt posting in this thread in a disgusting manner asking for a refund is gonna work.

A game should be reviewed for what it is and now what it isn't. Heck, even StarCraft II could be given a low rating if you judged it based on everything it isn't. Judged on its own merits, I think Elemental deserves a 7. O
I finished reading the book today. Some parts could have been worded better, but overall I enjoyed the story. I liked it enough that If he writes a sequel I'll be getting it. is it just me is this in black text in your post?
Got somethin against black?;)

It's sad that every thread gets high jacked like this. I support SD in getting the game to where it should be, because hell I want to play it. This constant bickering and shit is not helping anything. For the record: Matt Gallant(stalker) has multiple accounts over at qt3, how much you want to bet some of the louder people here are him?

It often happens, on Gamespot, that the aggregate user-score is much higher than the official reviewer's score -- who is just one guy, with his pseudo-expert opinion

I think all of us are feeling badly for the people being laid off. It happens, its a business, and it sucks. It wouldbe nice if everything could go on with unlimited funding, but that is not the case. They sacrifced a few to save the whole, which is the only way to operate.
