I still don't understand why this worked or was even necessary, but here's what I did have in Prefs.ini that fixed my issue: SkipIntro=1 DisplayWidth=1680 DisplayHeight=1050 UseDisplyResolution=0 Fullscreen=1 HardwareMouseCursor=1 EDIT: Crap. It looks like Prefs.ini is *still* changing DisplayWidth and DisplayHeight back to 1024 and 768 respectively, but I can, at least, change this every time. That's fun.

The DisplayWidth is reverting to 1024 and DisplayHeight to 768, for clarification.
A list of other things I've tried, just so I can do something that's faintly related to playing: - Alt-Enter : nothing happened, other than an alert sound. - Started the LegendaryHeroes.exe from folder, rather than from Steam. - Messed in Settings.ini, changed DisplayWidth to 1680, DisplayHeight to 1050, UseDesktopResolution to 0, and Fullscreen to 1. A couple variations involving those specific settings. Also, looks like SkipIntro=1 doesn't do what I expec
I installed FE:LH on my mom's computer and whenever I start it, the game is displayed in the upper left of the screen in about 1/4" of the screen. What's really odd is the mouse seems to think the entire screen is being used as expected... where the pointer is has nothing to do with where the game *thinks* the pointer is. I've changed resolutions, scaling, updated drivers, ran other games from Steam... nothing has fixed the issue, nor has any other game I've tried had
I realize no one particularly cares, but there are still far too many basic problems with this game for me to find it enjoyable to play. I am looking forward to playing this as a more stable, transparent game. I'd love to know what's going on with the variables, since clearly there are some being kept in multiple variables. I realize my banking back end code experience doesn't exactly translate, but it still makes me shiver. I'd have been justifiably fired for trying t
- It looks like only heroes hired after learning Equipment can actually see the items in the shop to buy. Actually, I bought padded armor with a hero and then traded it all to my Sovereign... and he couldn't see it in inventory to equip, although he could trade it back. - Err, Mounted Warfare and Weaponry both show up and are usable by Sovereign (and other heroes). So far, just Equipment seems wonky. EDIT: Equipment, not Warfare I.
It may be that funny, but at the very least, having the error message report this as a possible reason would make for fewer posts of this ilk. [quote who="Fistalis" reply="6" id="2950223"] - Maybe 50% of the time I've tried to start a game, I've gotten a "cannot connect" message. There's no reason for this on my end. Never seen this prior to the update. ROFLMAO here we go again. Beta patches requ
I think they're committing a code monkey no-no by storing the movement variable in different places and then not updating each one. Gaining the Movement tech doesn't reflect anywhere I could see.
- The Movement tech doesn't seem to do anything. All units have same movement, both existing and those built after the tech was (painfully) learned. EDIT: Sorry, it works, but the extra movement isn't reflected in the movement statistic.
- Sovereign's health seems to be fluxuating. I've gone from 17 to 11. Interestingly, it seems to depend on what screen I looked at last. - I just ate some salted pork and my health didn't increase.
- I just managed to build a peasant. What's the "4" at the bottom of the portrait for... number of men?
To be clear, I just started playing the game again a week or so ago. I'm baffled by many things, but that may not be the fault of the game. I was enjoying the game much more than my first few attempts, if that's any relief to the developers. - My usual build order was Beacon of Hope, Farm... wait, no Hut? I had 48 free spaces, material to build it (even though the tooltip said otherwise) and no reason I could see why I couldn't build a hut. And in one game, never did a Hut
