[quote who="webusver" reply="290" id="3440173"] Quoting aerowreck, reply 281- if Parrotmath or Hellions is reading this, female henchmen (henchwomen?) are not considered female by some of the loot I presume is generated by Black Market Bazaar. Also, these same female henchmen cannot ride a horse, just a warg, in my experience. Why they are not considered females? They are KingdomFemale but not HenchmanMale

The Tech Report has a pretty good build guide; this is from Christmas, so some of the variables (e.g. AMD GPU pricing) have changed, but otherwise it's a good start: http://techreport.com/review/25743/tr-christmas-2013-system-guide/4

Basically, they're somewhat less good than a low-level Hero or Henchman with no magic paths would be at the stage of the game you can train them. I tend to find the warrior/assassin/defenders pretty underwhelming at that point. They can be good for a few special purposes, if you're willing to babysit them for a few levels, and you don't already have another hero that can perform that special need. They start with a higher base initiative than regular units. &nbsp

Pretty much (although the multi-unit version the Undead faction can get by exploiting their Undying Curse trait are much nicer [e digicons]}:)[/e] ) They do make good governors though, so I end up building a lot as Empire. Now Henchmen, on the other hand, are worth their own weight in gold...but that's kind of Altar's "thing".

FWIW, the trait only affects the actual quest experience, not the experience from any battles performed in pursuit of the quest. Usually this is a fairly negligible amount.

It's probably a bug; you (shouldn't) get new champions for re-crossing a fame threshold you've already passed. The "next champion" message should indicate where you next threshold that you haven't yet crossed is. I'm guessing that if you're training torchbearers, you have already crossed the 100 and 200 fame thresholds too, so it really shouldn't have had the 50 fame message either. Did you do this in a real game, or is this in cheat mo

It would also be wise to get something more powerful than you actually need... to allow for depreciation over time and accomodate future expansions/upgrades. I have a Silv

RE: the "shadow path" - you'd need to mod it separate from both existing Life and Death paths, as both of those are exclusively unlocked (i.e. you can only have one or the other) by the choice of Kingdom/Empire. For instance, if you subjugate a Kingdom sovereign with an Empire faction, you won't be able to increase their existing level of Life magic. This also affects which type of shard you get for Life/Death shards. Lots of Life/Death magics are much less effecti

The above "other items" changes seem good. Also - I know I've received a Dark Concoction in Fallen Enchantress (not LH) before. For the Scepter of Dominion - Loot for the Mastery Quest would be good - though the verbiage about sensing dragons from the quest end does not match the effects of the item. It is pretty OP though (though if you can complete the quest, you're pretty OP too by this point :P ) For the Fist of Vetrar - I'd read it as having been named a
