I'm kind of new to this stuff and I would like to know about merging layers in paint shop pro 8. I read the manual about it, but I still don't understand it. I mean why is there a need to merge layers, or is that a dumb question. What does merge visible and merge all flatten mean and what do they do? I know this is probaly dumb, but I would just like to know why there is a need to merge. Thanks Richard
Travis, I have version 2.0, at least that's what it says.
When I download and try to install some objects it says made for a newer version, may not work correctly. But I think I have the newest version out. Should I just not use them or what? Richard

Just wanted to know what this is, have seen where people say this was made with bryce, was just wondering what it is and if someone kind of new to this stuff, (like me), could use something like this. Let me know. Richard
Is there some kind of trick to move text in user pane? Seems the only way I can get it to move is to put the horizontal text on center or right and move it to the left using the right content margin, and the only movement vertical is when I put the vertical text on center(which moves it to the bottom) and the top or bottom content margin's don't even affect it. Any suggestions.? Richard
Kind of new to this stuff and was just screwing around with paint shop and made a start panel user pane for windowblinds, anyway made it thinner than the regular picture and around the edges I have some magic pink stuff, and was wondering how to clean it up. Richard
Was just wondering if rechargeable batteries retain there charge or not if your not going to use them right away? I asked them at energizer but they still haven't gotten back to me yet, so in the meantime I thought I'd check with you guys or gals . Thanks, Richard

Just got a windowblind skin which I kind of like, everything seems alright with it but on the bottom bar where your time is kept, don't know what bar is actually called maybe taskbar, anyway along the bottom bar it seems to look alot different than the picture it's just got a plain gray bar, I don't think it's supposed to be like that, Can anyone help,or do you know what I'm talking about?
Didn't really put the picture in the object just resized the wallpaper and made an orb out of it.

I just got a trial version of paint shop and want to see if I can make a round image. Was able to make a round image but when I looked at it, it still had the corners on it. The image itself was round but the corners were still there. What do I need to do to make the whole thing appear round? Let me know, Richard (It's just for my personal use.)

Koasati-- It's just a picture of my nieces, I made an object with desktop x and put their picture on it and instead of square corners I would like to see if I could round them off somehow. Let me know Richard
