Are we doomed?
marigoldran
My version is 1.1
Ok, will wait. I've turned off the mods.
Come back to the forum. There's no way to communicate outside of it. Unless you have gmail and thus gchat.
I'm back in the lobby again. No pirates. Also, if you don't like where you start in the first turn you can ask for a reroll (in case one guy gets the middle and the other's on the far edge).
Ok, you make.
I made a game. Can you join? It's medium map, just us two. Abundant planets/Abundant extreme planets. No AI.
Ok. Here. Let me know if you're there.
PFFFFFFFFFT. If it's fruitless, then so what? I spend a minute amount of electricity and energy hitting the caps key for a neutral result. No loss anywhere except perhaps a minor increase in entropy in the universe WHICH EVERYONE CONTRIBUTES TO ANYWAYS THROUGH METABOLISM. If you find it derogatory or trite then I reckon YOU'RE the one with ISSUES. I mean, isn't there BETTER things to gripe about than the OCCASIONAL use of CAPS?
Anyone else want to play?
Quoting marigoldran, reply 129 Did I write in all caps? USUALLY
But you've got to admit, it can help get the point across, doesn't it?
Ok confirmed. I WILL BE THERE (otherwise I suck). Will check up on forum here at 3.
And we all know that the most important thing to being heard is writing IN ALL CAPS.
Did I write in all caps?
The problem with "3 am Saturday" was I was thinking of 3 am tonight or 12 hours from now. Let me know if you're here. I can play now if you're up for it, or in 12 hours.
He's gotten 6 colony ships by turn 6. Regardless of the map size, as long as there's habitable planets nearby THIS IS THE MOST OPTIMUM CHOICE. That's actually the most important point. The 30 colonies by turn 30 is more map dependent. But getting 6 colony ships by turn 6 IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO WINNING THE GAME ON MOST MAPS.
I am curious what makes youthink that there is a exponential grow of a quantity involved? Although i can get at least in 6 turns... 6 colonizers...i have played, but get 5 colonies in 15 turns..so something goes wrong here..i spend too much money..i could not upgrade my colonizers anymore and they become useless.
It depends on the map. Re-roll the map a couple of times

I can play 6-7 hours from now (it's currently 7 pm EDT here). Norseman can host. Let me know on this thread if that works.
Oh. I didn't know that. Well, as you can obviously see I'm a noob when it comes to multiplayer. Please take it easy on me.
Change map settings to huge, abundant suns/abundant planets/abundant habitable planets.
Three might be fine. The asymmetry might be odd though. Also, I can only play for about 3 hours. Is there a way to save multiplayer games?
AI is pretty meaningless. Everyone's going to ignore them and go after each other's throats.
Player vs Player. If there's AI they'll just take up space.
So figure out a way to get 6 colony ships by turn 6.
Has a exponential growth a growingfactor g between 0 and 1 ( 0>g>1 ) then a lineair grow will grow faster then this exponential grow Has a exponential growth a growingfactor g greater than 1 ( g> 1 ) then a lineair grow will grow slower then this exponential grow Is this a answer what can tribute in developing the colony rush in GC3 ? ..because it is loosly formulated<
