W.A.S.P - You didn't answer my main question. Other than making you feel uncomfortable, how in ANY way will civil unions or gay marraige have any practical affect on YOUR life. And where exactly did you read that animal homosexuality is the same as a dog humping your leg? An actual scientific report or in anti-gay literature?
First off I have to agree with citahellion, it isn't the role of the government to pass laws regulating behavior unless that behavior is a danger to others. And he is also correct in what he said in post #12. The Constitution trumps ANY state law about marriage, period.

The math doesn't have to be that they are more than 50% of the votes. All a group has to do is be a solid bloc that will consistantly give money to and vote for a party to gain favor in voting and policies from it. Look at the influence companies, unions, etc.have on each party. It's not how many people you know, it's do you know the right people. If the Evangelicals are able to stay this organized and mobilized they will be a force to be reckoned
I have to lean to the genius side. The argument does make a good amount of legal sense, doesn't disenfranchise anyone, and gets rid of one big national headache. I really think this is a good idea. Everyone can have the civil union and it's perks, and those who want it can get the religious ceremony for their own gratification. The more I think about it the more I likr it. Like they say in the beer commercial - Brilliant!!
The only problem with this map is it looks outragouesly red but GW only won by 3.8 million votes, it wasn't a landslide. Places like N and S. Dakota Wyoming, etc. look nice and red, but there just aren't that many people there. Of course Texas went for him. It doesn't reflect population, it reflects acreage.

The fact that someone with such an extreme view was elected really says something and I haven't heard anything about him on any of the networks. Yes, only 22% said it was the reason they voted for Bush, but you are ignoring the fact that 20% of his total vote was from Evangelicals, whom many of his policies have been meant to appeal to and obviously he couldn't have won without. For some reason for me, it won't let me install the Cursor XP folder in my Stardock folder, only in Program Files.

It took a while, a few reinstalss, some erasing of stuff, but I finally beat it into submission. Erasing the current theme helped, thanks for the advice.
Nope, didn't work. I saved the them, loaded it, then restarted. Same thing, no update. I also rolled back to the current official release to make sure it wasn't the beta, still no luck. I guess my comp just doesn't like me.....
