I removed the windows update, removed IE, and installed both the stable and the beta of Deskscapes 8 and nothing worked.

I"ve been using Deskscapes pretty much since it came out with no problems. But over the last month or two it gives me an error message saying DWM isn't running, but when I check my processes in task manager, it shows DWM.exe running. Any ideas?

Icon Packages in OS Customization WinCustomize Forums

There are less and less icon packages coming out over the last 6 mos. to a year. Are they going to die out? They are one of the integral parts in putting together a good desktop. I would make them myself but I'm artistically challenged. Maybe we should have Master Icon Packages to encourage people to create some.... It seems to be working for Windowblinds.

I have to agree with others, it's not cooperating. I installed 2.0 and downloaded Vark, but it wouldn't install it. Only thing it would do was run illustro. A vark configuration window would open, but the skin itself never showed on the screen. [e digicons]X([/e]

II am using Vista 64 bit, and when I go to settings, in the Windows Settings, I can't change the size of my icons from 32 pixels. The dialog box is greyed out.

I installed Vista Home Premium today, and when I installed my Object Desktop programs, Windowblinds will not work. It keeps telling me that I need to reboot. I did what the message box said and reinstalled with my anti-spyware programs off and it still made no difference. I'm not running the trial version of WB, I have a full OD subscription. If you can't unistall them from your system I would try to simply erase the folders with Eraser 5.7, as this will remove most of the files (make sure they aren't running when you do the erase). Then before you try to reinstall OD plus run a registry cleaner to try to remove any references to either program. This has worked for me before when I've had problems. I fixed it. Even though "enable drag and dropping" was checked it wasn't working so I just had to turn it off and back on. As for the folders, it still isn't right, but I just went into Documents and Settings and edited everything from there. Anyway, i am the administartor.
