Stardock hasn't asked me for an additional $10. I thought DLC was an invitation to purchase additional content at additional cost - not a demand to do so. If you don't like the invitation then decline the opportunity. The devs (whether they be Stardock or anyone else) will realise via sales figures if their invitation was universally appealing or only marginally appealing.

Banshees are immune to physical damage. Afaik the Blessed Hammer only does physical damage so the banshee will be immune to it. If you want to damage a banshee with a melee weapon, you need to use a weapon that has magic/elemental damage such as a lightning hammer or ice spear.
The planned updates sound great. I haven't bought any DLC yet so I don't know if my opinion has value, but the biggest change I would like to see in future games is for the loot randomisation to occur when the map is generated. I find it frustrating when I reload (whether due to my own foolishness/perfectionism or a system crash) and I kill the same monster only to get entirely different loot. It breaks continuity and encourages reloading. I love the random elements of the gam
edit. sorry posted in wrong place.
I had the same experience with an unmet faction casting Antipathy on my capital. They could've at least said "Hello" first! [e digicons]>:([/e] I didn't even know they were in the game.
Thanks for the clarification!
I could not damage a Banshee with the Frostbrand sword. Is that working as intended? (I thought it would take 2 cold damage per hit, but maybe I'm misunderstanding the item effects/description.)
I played with the version of Duke included in the earlier versions of the Children of the Storm mod. Please ignore my comments if you have updated him since then. I found him twice very early in the game and thought he was a very strong champion...maybe too strong with his cloak of fear and his high initiative. Sometimes Duke had 3 attacks to every 1 attack of the enemy (not including counterattacks)! But then when I finally got Ascian, Duke no longer seemed overpowered
What would be the point of having a Random setting if it only generates maps that are consistent? If you don't want fertile land to be scarce, maybe don't select "Random" or "Desert" under Map Type. If you always want to be able to win with everything set to Random, maybe try dropping the difficulty.
if you still want the vanilla sovs, don't install the NoVanillaSov folder
Oops. [e digicons][/e] Thanks for telling me!
Quick question: after installing the mod should we still be able to select the vanilla sovereigns? Under "Available Sovereigns" I can only see the 12 new sovereigns and my custom created ones. Lord Relias, Lady Irane etc. have dropped off the list. Sorry, I can't remember if that's what happened in Stormworld too. Minor text issue: the Gnome abilities reads: "Can wear armor class one above their current limit (leather=gt&;chainmail, chainmail=gt&,plate).
But what if Wizard wants to play as a spell-casting wizard and still get a challenge from the AI?
Why not select a lower Magic Strength when choosing the map/world settings? I find spellcasters' power is constrained by the amount of mana/shards at your disposal. Less shards tips the balance to non-magic oriented champions/factions.
I also wish to see some other units then humans .. I mean I alwways had thing for stuff like orcs , wizards with some cool creatures army .. I am not sure Maybe there is some faction like that.
Maybe have a look at the available/upcoming mods? Heavenfall's "Children of Storm" mod includes new factions such as angels, centaurs and frost giants. [e digicons]:D[/e] I think it's currently being ported to Legendary Heroes. Some of my wishlist ideas: * Option to play as a Random sovereign (so you don't know which of the sovereigns you will be until the game starts). * Option to stop other factions' caravans appearing as monsters (i.e. red squares) on the minimap. I keep looking for all the 'monsters' that are entering my settlements on the map only to find that they're harmless caravans. * Ability to play the Trogs race as a Kingdom faction. (I'm not sure if this i
agree they need some spice, especially betrayers - this should be free as there is no real benefit anymore.
Doesn't Betrayers give you access to the Broken Loyalties spell? I would have thought that is potentially a strong benefit, as you can convert an AI's city and it can't be defended against (afaik).
Is there a way to fix this?
I'm sure it's not the answer that you're looking for, but keep an eye out for Flickering Rings. When a hero wears one he/she can cast Blink, which teleports them to a free square on the battlefield - great for when they are stuck behind other units in bottlenecks. I think there's also a Rescue trait that allows a hero to swap places with an allied unit, which you could use to get that hero into a better position on the
I just made the switch from FE to FE: Legendary Heroes and I haven't done any searches to see which bugs are already 'known issues', so apologies if this matter has been raised elsewhere. I created a Small Random map with 1 AI opponent with the map variables set to Random. I thought it was strange that I hadn't seen any AI units despite having mostly uncovered the map, but I was having fun questing and monster slaying so I didn't worry too much about it. Eventually
Hi I tried most skills in the game and I believe that the ADVENTURER one, which allows to hire heroes for free definitely gives too much of an advantage
Did you know that you can modify the number of champions that appear on the map? Banned for failing to appreciate disGraceful humour.
I'd suggest playing as Lady Irane (Tarth) for the stealth, or Lord Markin (Gilden) or Warlord Verga (Yithril) because they are fairly straightforward to play and strong physically. Stealth makes the game easier because monsters won't attack your units, so you can choose when to attack them. I think the magic-heavy factions take a bit longer to understand (or at least they did for me). I chose to create my own faction and sovereign at the beginning because I wanted to know how
Mana = Power (Land =/ power in this game regardless of what you might think)
I think that depends on the world's Magic Strength setting. I have it set to "Random". The game I'm playing at the moment must be Sparse - there's probably no more than ten shards on the whole map. I've got roughly twice the territory of any other factions, and I've only got three shards. I have to be conservative with my mana because t
Sorry if this bug has already been noted, but I encountered something funny that required a reload. One of the AI's cities bordered the Pit of Despair. I took an army into this city's territory, and got the AI prompt telling me to stop trespassing. I clicked on the option to politely leave rather than to start a war. My army was then ejected from the AI's territory only to be relocated in the inner section of the Pit of Despair, at the point where you can summon Samarra. This woul
Thanks parrottmath & Heavenfall for explaining about the missing legs. I see now that there's no equipment displayed in the Faction screen. Heavenfall, would it be difficult to make one of the mounts a default for the Character/Sovereign creation screen? (In the same way that one of the weapons is set as default.) As a user, it's all too easy to not realis
I mainly wanted to post to say "Thank you" for this mod. I'm really impressed by the work that has gone into it. [e digicons]:D[/e] But whilst I'm at it, I'll just mention something I noticed in ver 1.5o: when creating a new Faction, if you select "Centaur" or "Drota" they are pictured to the right without legs. Legs only appear when you create a Character/Sovereign and choose one of the three available mounts under Appearance - Equipment. Maybe one of the three moun
Sorry, I posted this is the main FE forum, but it probably should have gone here as a Wishlist request:
Is there a way to create new games with a random character/sovereign? (That was always my favourite way to play Civ IV - to not know which race and leader I was going to get until the game started.) I really appreciate that so many other variables can be set to "Random" - it makes it unpredictable and more exciting. [e digicons]:D[/e] If this isn'
