Hi all, So, I've completed the purge and re-install of DS V11.02. The download location is still pointed to the 'My Documents>Stardock>Dreams' folder. Another anomaly I've noticed is with images that are include in a .ZIP archive such as those of author SED. Those archives contain a 1920x1080 preview image, a 3840x2160 wallpaper and an archive image. Prior to this glitch happening, once DS had downloaded the package, the appropriate image - the 3

Is there a way to completely purge Deskscapes from my system? I will then reinstall V11.02 cleanly and see what happens. Also, what would be the best way to rebuild my Deskscapes Downloaded Dreams play list? I only use static wallpapers and I would have a copy of the 'Users' downloaded Dreams folder as well as the 'Dreams' folder in 'My Documents>Stardock' I would need to merge. Thanks.

I assume you mean that you ran the installer on your installed 11.03 installation. I tried that a while ago and it caused some more problems. I may give it another try based on your success. Thanks pelaird.

An interesting thing I noticed today April 2nd. @basj. I clicked on one of my favourite authors in Deskscapes, SED's dated listing. What I noticed is that images of theirs that I had download recently, after the download directory had changed to the new 'Documents' location, all had that new location shown beside the image under the images description. I just saw your comment empathy762. I checked my 'Users>(myuser)>Appdata>Local>Stardock>DownLoadedDreams' and all of my files and folders are still there. The date of the latest folder is Mar 12, 2026. After that all Downloads are going to the 'My Documents>Stardock>Dreams' folder. That folder is in my OneDrive but, I'd like to keep things all in the standard folder. I've only download some images to check the status of things, then dele

Any info at all on this? I've tried to uninstall V11.03 and had problems with that. I've tried over-writing with V11.02, but I think that screwed it up even worse. Is there a registry key that tells Deskscape where the storage folder is? Thanks. Update... I have searched the registry and only found two references to a preview of an image that pointed to to folder in question. There were no references to an actual setting that

I have just check some static wallpaper downloads tonight and they are indeed going into my Documents>Stardock>Dreams' folder. I didn't create this folder. They are added, when selected to be' to the proper Playlist. But, this is unexpected behaviour by Deskscapes. My Deskscapes version is 11.03. To basj... No this has been an on going issue with Fences 6.x beta. I don't recall having an issue with version 5. To pelaird... Yes it was happening with 25H2 26200.7171 and I get the same result as DrJBHL. In fact I can fix the problem in real time by simply, from the Fences 'Basic Options', toggling fences OFF and closing the Options. My Desktop reverts to 'Non-Fences' config. Then checking the Context Menu and 'Personalise' is back to normal. Re-enabling Fences, via the sa

Maybe I missed the memo, but, why does Fences 6.05 commandeer the Windows 11 Context Menu - Personalize selection? I don't recall this happening with Fences 5.x. After a restart this Desktop Context Menu selection works correctly, and opens the Windows - Settings>Personalisation Settings page. Since I process my .jpeg images with ON1 Photo Raw I decided to try one step below the 'Best Quality' setting which includes smoothing processing with Deskscapes. Hi basj, 1.) Windows 11 Version 24H2 (OS Build 26100.4484) 2.) Deskscapes 11.0.2 3.) I only use static .jpeg backgrounds in one playlist. The other playlist comprises of Stardock author static images from your site through Deskscapes. 4.) The occurrence of the black screen appears to be totally random. I've been noticing for some time now that very occasionally, and seemingly randomly, Deskscapes will show(or not show an image??) a 'Black Screen' instead of the next picture in the sequence. I do have black as my default background colour and it's the colour that underlies less than full screen images. My backgrounds cycle in sequence, not randomly, every one minute. All images are .jpg at 100% quality. Thanks.

I will shortly be re-installing my Windows 11Pro. I have the following Stardock software installed. -Object Desktop -Start11 V2.11 -Deskscapes V11.02 -Fences V5.87 Rev2 Is there a common location for these config files? If not, where might the individual config files be located? I want to save these files so I don't have to reconfigure everything after the Windows install. Thanks.

Well, I've updated to 24H2 and so far, so good. Deskscapes seems to be working well. It seems faster than 11.01. Also, the randomizer seems to be working better as well.
