Ive worked with a pretty brilliant neurochemical psychologist over the yrs who hooks you up to EKG machines and the like to test alpha / beta / theta brain waves an' what not under different conditions, and he has the crux of the issue down as breathing. Turns out ten second breaths (6 per minute) produce the most ideal wave pattern (neurochemical/transmitter balance), and that most mood & mental disorders stem from us developing improper breathing habits. lol. why would you waste precious time advertising that you have no interest in anthropology? just stop watching the instant you realize that you have no interest in the video's subject matter, and that it isn't violating the ToS. the way you're communicating is only making your company look bad. dr. awyan contributed greatly to the anthropological field. all i was pointing out was that the notion of using intersecting harmonic waves to accomplish a
meditation + breathing techniques saved my life.
*Fist pump Yes! Sounds awesome! Side note: While I am sorta sad to see our city-sim go, I Really like the direction the UI is taking.
So as to keep the thread OT, I am just going to point out that not only was Dr. Abdel Hakim Awyan an indigenous Khemitian wisdom keeper, but he also held degrees in both Archaeology and Egyptology. But what do indigenous people know of their history, right? That was an excerpt from a series of documentaries by a few highly accredited Egyptologists, Khemitologists, and Geologists. I will let you do additional research proportionate to your curiosity. Let me just say tha

wonderful, i think i might upgrade from evernote now. ty
I'm not trying to derail the thread, but not all MMORPG's are "grind-fest, cookie-cutter train-rides". There are a few diamonds in the rough. I can recommend Darkfall Online (although not as amazing as it was at launch, great pvp), Shadowbane (amazing gvg), and Ultima Online (wonderful rp'ing). A buddy of mine who "specializes" in MMO's swears by Asheron's Call as well; although now it's quite dated.
Pandora has a pretty cool system where citizens automatically migrate based on cities' "unrest", so you can control population distribution by fine-tuning each city's attractiveness, via different buildings. Just food for thought.
Lilo and Stitch. Disney was smokin the good shi* that year.

Great post tjashen. I agree Miyazaki's work is top notch. Squaresoft, Aardman, and Ralph Bakshi definitely deserve mention as well. Our tastes are quite similar.
theyre not really strategy games, but more like tactical rpg's, with some strategy elements.
overall id say 2 is a few tenths of a point better than reincarnation - theyre really pretty neck and neck. i like the manual rod planting in 2 and thieves are more useful / fun; but the tactical battle system in reincarnation is definitely a step up. plus it's perty. i will probably end up playing 2 more solo, and reincarnation more mp.
I'd say up to par, but given that I haven't played 2 in years lemme go give it a quick whirl and I'll report back.
The final iteration of 3, subtitled: Reincarnation, ended up pretty darn good. http://store.steampowered.com/app/10270

HoMM II, III, and Age of Wonders 1 are the Triforce of strategy games in my humble opinion. Age of Wonders III has a strong chance of taking the belt. FE, LH, and Pandora duke it out for my silver. Tribes of the East ended up eating enough of my time to warrant bronze. &n
1. strategic spells - more weather control plz 2. exploring the world - discovering treasure(s) 3. changing the geography of the map over time and developing it to my liking - "terraforming" / cities, outposts, roads.. additionally: i wish there was a real reason to manually layout my cities - some fun meta-game
Great thread. I hope the Frog sees it.
