My video card: Radeon HD 7750. It is much better than recommended Radeon X3800 / GeForce 7900. So what's the problem?

Garbage dissapears when I turn off Anti-Aliasing.
Choppy map scrolling. Sometimes FPS drops to 24 at version 0.992. My video card: Radeon HD 7750. I disabled Particle Effects, Outlines, Shadows and Anti-Aliasing. After that map scrolling is much better. But it still jerks/skips frames, but less horribly and less frequently. Today I downloaded new AMD software and driver: AMD Catalyst 12.10. It doesn't help.
I just tried to defeat Clambercoil Dragon with other weapons and the dragon defeated me. My Lady Irane makes 8-18 damage to the dragon with Shadow Dagger. For comparison, Short Sword makes only 3-9 damage to the dragon. It is because Shadow Strike 2 + Shadow Dagger completely ignores armor. All I suggest is to make Shadow Dagger Uncommon.
Really you don't even need level 20 hero to defeat boss. All you need are horse and twice Initiative boss has. Even level 1 hero can defeat boss. Hit and run strategy still works against bosses - just kiting bosses.
My Lady Irane just defeated Clambercoil Dragon with only Shadow Dagger, Leather and Rusty armor pieces and a couple of potions. She had Shadow Strike 2 that ignores 50% Defence. So Shadow Dagger together with Shadow Strike 2 completely ignores armor. Shadow Dagger is much better than spears, because it gives +4 Initiative, Counterattack, ignores more Defence and has no Weight. Add to this Burning Blade and Finesse, and it becomes dragon-killer. Cast Shrink to dragon,
Issue still persists in 0.992.
When you double-click to you hero, you are in Details tab of Unit Details. But in most cases you switch to Equipment tab. Imho Equipment tab should be active by default.
The problem is every champion is spell caster. If champion is going to defeat dragon, he/she usually has powerful spells like Shrink or Blindness. So in most cases first strike is not so important for monster. It is more important to make strike asap. P.S. Also dragon often can't make first strike, because it has less moves/initiative than champion. But the dragon still moves by one tile. It is absolutely not optimal.
It is not easy to detect for new players.
[0.992] Issue still persists. Monsters move by one tile. You can cast several spells before actual fighting: Shrink, Growth, Blind, Curse, Haste, Slow.
There are several monsters that are vulnerable to blant damage: Rock Spider, Crag Spawn, Earth Shrill, etc. But it is not easy to detect. Maybe create icon: "Vulnerable to Blant".
Shadow Dagger: 7 Attack, +4 Initiative, +1 Counterattack, Ignores 66% Defence, Value 59. It is so powerful, so good for kiting, especially with enchantments. I prefer Shadow Dagger to some Rare weapons. Maybe it should be Uncommon.
Arando has Silver Broadsword that requires level 6, but Arando is only level 5.
The problem you can expand too fast, because opponents don't hinder you.
AI expansion is very bad now. My settings: expert, average map, 3 opponents. In my current game 2 sovereigns have 1 settlement, 1 sovereign has 2 settlements on season 39. I have 6 settlements. I created 2 another games with the same settings. Test 1: on season 51 opponents have 1, 1 and 4 settlements respectively. Test 2: on season 50 opponents have 2, 2 and 2 settlements respectively. Imho AI expansion is very slow now in comparison to old version. Screenshots: <
I didn't finish my game at 0.991. I play Lady Irane on expert. But I feel it can work on ridiculous if you create custom sovereign with OP traits. Maybe Krax with master scouts is even better.
Old way to win without land-grab on ridiculous and above - not having land at all - playing with one hero. Tarth is good here.
I turn off Anti-Aliasing. E ven so AA is turned on in Unit Details. T hough AA is turned off in Unit Design and Create Sovereign. So unit looks much better in Unit Details than in Unit Design. </p
[0.99] Slave scout for 12 production. Is it balanced?
Moreover Dodge is more universal than Defence. Dodge protects from elemental attacks. Defence doesn't.
Yes. Defence traits and armor have too large labor costs.
Quoting harmonius_, reply 35[0.99] Dragon accuracy nerfed in 0.99. For example, Forest Drake has 84 Accuracy. It had 90+ Accuracy before the patch. So Blindness becomes more overpowered. Did its spell resistance go up in .99?
Spell resistance remains the same.

Anyway 6 Labor cost for 10 Dodge is too small. For example, Ironskin +3 Defence costs 14 Labor. Dodge traits have surprisingly low costs.
