heroes already use special versions of items (with relatively large gold cost) i cant see any reason why this special versions can't have different stats.

AI shoud not cheat like this... game shoud allow AI to deal with mobs on autoresolve ever if it is definite lose (not leaving tons of mobs intact), provide maphack, allow to have some infinite resources (everything but gildar due rush), but shoud not provide such advantages.

magic system require overhaul, spell damage shoud be affected by spell mastery, not raw unit level, linking entire magic system only on character level does not look good, especially compared to other types of damage, where weapon and armor actually matters.
