I have heard of this sort of thing happen when you have AA forced from control panel, but I guess this does not apply to you.
Yes it runs on Win7-64. You may need to finagle with it a bit to get Metaverse to work in 2.04, that's all.
Great stuff, I can go ahead and buy . Thank you.
I found out that it was a saved game that was causing my win32 exception error (crash) Using a earlier saved game cured the problem.
I have searched the net and get conflicting reports. Does GalCiv II work on windows 7 64 bit? It's not worth buying if it doesn't. :)
I have just started to often get this crash in my game. Anyone else having the same problem. Win32 Exception occurred in FallenEnchantress(3424)
There is strong evidence that suggests that the AI has been set to cheat in a effort make for a more challenging game. But isn't it true that if your opponent cheats, then there is no game?
Anyone who buys Warlock after falling asleep at the demo, deserves a medal. It is so,so, been done a thousand times to death. :)
If you have only started playing since the latest patch 0.913 Shaky, then it will seem bad. The game is good, it's the patch that's bad. So don't give up on the game just yet.
Sorry but I have to say it. If EFE played anything like civilization I would have tossed it in the bin long ago. :p
Could be, but I have watched a AI unit walk through a field of monsters and not get touched once, so I would imagine it to be intentional (working as intended) or quite a large bug that really should not have got past the testers.
I voted good for 0.912, but now need to vote Fail for 0.913. Is there some way to change my vote? ;)
In .913 I walked into enemy territory to see a fire demons lair, right next to a enemy town and 3 or 4 stacks of enemy troops. The fire demon was totally ignoring the enemy town and troops but immediately made a b-line for me. The AI in .913 is firmly set on CHEAT. I am back playing .912 and it is so satisfying to see the AI getting battered by monsters once more. :)
Did anybody figure out where to put the DLC serial key? Also how do I traverse the weird blurry phase lanes? I'm completely cut off from everybody else with one of these. I must say the standard phase lane density setting tends to generate quite a few one-phase-lane bottlenecks.
If you click the logo on their website there is a box there for your key. The blurry phase lanes are w
You don't think they have the difficulty setting screwed do you? The beginner is challenging and challenging the beginner.
Yep, it's so just repetitve micromanagement.
And that is were I was hoping, that this game would not wander, but........
Yes, that's could be problem if people want to set easy, it's should be easy, not hard. Hard do not belong to easy setting, but a hard setting, easy do not belong to hard setting but a hard one.
There is a moral in there somewhere me thinks. ;)
It's not much better on beginner. I managed to hold my own against the new mobs, even though it did cripple my chances of exploration. But later in the game the AI becomes ridiculous and completely walks over you. Game over. I re-installed 0.912 and now I am happy once again. :)
Beginner - turn 262 - Ironeers. All was going quite well until in one single turn all off my outpost were destroyed and my towns taken. I couldn't believe it. I am defiantly going back to 0.912 until this game returns to some sort of sanity. From being a fantastic game to it becoming a crock, all within 48 hours.
Yeah, I have noticed this sort of thing happening quite a lot, and it is very annoying. I sometimes think that the monsters are part of the AI army. :) For the most part I think I prefer 0.912 for the game-play and fun aspect even though there are a few nice additions to 0.913. I am finding 0.913 to be causing me much frustration at times.
Yes, I hope this slow down a.i. they seem rise to power way faster than I'm am, but again I don't spam city, I still had one city but I'm force building city to be strong rather than spam city and often I lose many game because I didn't spam city, and there is no good spot to build city, if I do, then monster do a job for a.i kingdom and empire, while monster don't do slow a.i kingdom and empire for me.
Fixed in 0.913
It happened to me today while playing 0.913 so it doesn't look fixed quite yet. Mage bolt disappeared, then came in from left hand side of screen.
I think the problem is that the AI gets none of the hassle or monster attacks but the player gets everything thrown at them.
Difficultly - Beginner Started and was swamped by monsters, monsters also attacked my shards and mines. While handling all of this and trying to build up my town the AI got extremely more powerful and then declared war on me. Basically game over. If it's like this on beginner I am going to need a baby mode. Verdict - game play was much better before patch.
The only thing I don't like so far are the new borders, I prefer the old ones. But that's just nit-picking. :)
Okay, so, I just played it and I have to say, you guys were right. It really is massively improved. Honestly, it's the game I wanted 5 years ago when Elemental was announced. Of course, my standards have kind of increased since then, but whatever. It's fun, excited to play it more.
Toooooooold you so. :D This is one of those games that only comes around every once in a while
