If you have an od subscription, icondeveloper is the way to go. if you have a bunch of .png files already created, you can the entire group, right click and convert them all to icons at once, and iconpackager will create all the sizes that you choose. i don't know about the limitations of the shareware version of icondeveloper, but you can give that a try. the only other software i ever use for converting icons is axialis iconworkshop, www.axialis.com, but thats not free either... both can crea

with version 8.1, you should be able to get pretty smooth edges using vector objects... if that doesnt work, another way to fake it is to feather the ion a very small amount, 1 or 2 pixels, depending on how smooth you want it to be. and then, sometimes i do antialiasing "by hand"... open up the ole handy mspaint, zoom it up 8x, then fix up the antialiasing with dropper and pencil <img src="http://images.st

well, i dont have aftereffects, so i wouldn't really know. but if you are having resizing problems i.e. the lower margin is running into the top margin and causing a sharp edge appearing in the middle, just move out the image resize margins a little bit further apart from eachother and that will fix it... i dont recomend changeing the image, because then the normal sized toolbars will look pixelated because they will have to stretch the image out. on the other hand, if you change the margins cor

hmm 4.38e is more stable for me than the previous... only thing is that aim chat windows arte skinned at first, but after a while, they stop being skinned and revert back to windows classic... wierd

the objectdock separators are defined in the background files, so depending on what background you use, it will automatically choose the separator that the authro created witht he backlground... the only way to change it would be to manually modifythe separator image.
