Quoting Kantok, reply 10 I guess what I am trying to say here since you don't seem to get it is that, I'm saying SD treats customers well, but not well enough because in this day and in this age, there is this company out there called CD Projekt Red that is (relatively) kicking SD's butt when it comes to treating customers well. (But that's not necessarily so big a deal really because CD Pro

If this is your idea of outrageous betrayal, just wait until you fall in love. You ain't seen nothing yet.
I must be stranger than I thought. I like the random names that are generated. Like the monster and spell names and other Lore stuff, it doesn't have a direct reference to other fantasy settings. For me, it has the feel of a naming system based on assumptions and contexts that don't need to match mine. I put the word "Old" in front of cities that will become Conclaves. I put the word "Fort" in front of cities that will become Fortresses.&
There are some great punch line responses here. I can't top those. I will add a more on topic response that I really appreciate that there is a vocabulary that separates Elemental from Dungeons and Dragons, Tolkien or many other typical references. At first, it seemed kind of pointless and arbitrary, but it really grew on me and I now appreciate it.
Yes, more quests, monsters, heroes, and just general content. I am eager for AI improvements, game mechanics, and I understand people wanting faction differentiation and all that, but content just helps re-playability for me. More, please sir, more.
I have to vote +1. I don't have a lot of use for MP myself, but I have had three different family members and friends gush on about going at each other in those tactical battles. In my opinion any MP version would have to be as badly imbalanced as it is now and players would just have to deal with it. It would work out better in LAN situations where houserules might be easier to figure out and live with. I will leave it with
Add me to the list of people who play sandbox. I may or may not get around to sampling this scenario just because it has Elemental lore. Scenarios seem to be made for people who play both different and better than I do. Given that we have so many people speaking up for sandbox, how many out there do put focus on the scenarios?
To oversimplify, LH is Civ with magical explorer units and monsters for barbarians. The whole eXploration phase is eXpanded, in content and in length. I always like the exploration phase of Civ, so this is even better.
1182 at the moment. I am about to go make it 1183.
I hate them with a white hot hate, but I am actually quite impressed by how dangerous those little banshees work out to be. You really have to think twice about those things!!
Congratulations to those finding grammar errors. I love it. Gratitude to those correcting grammar errors. I hate them. I actually found one to report, although it is less about grammar directly than gender correctness. I started my new sovereign, a lady name Miss Teak. The opening lore description was still the default. It talked about Miss Teak "and several other men" toiling in the mines. Miss Teak objected to the "other men" phrase as an in
I'm supposed to play this blindfolded? No wonder I do so poorly.
I play to play, I play on lower levels. I do play towards a victory, but not by any path anyone would find efficient. However, I do notice whether the AI seems basically clever or not, and it does help the fun if they are smarter. I think that developing smarter and smarter algorithms that make the AI more challenging for the "play to win" types also makes the game even more enjoyable for the "play to play" types. I found the point to be well illustrated when Civ
Quoting erischild, reply 18But I like the random names. Does that make me weird? That makes you weird (When I read it it seems so harshly said from my side, its a joke.) The random names in elemental are too odd for me anyhow, too many "ogomonlodaf" names or whatever... That said, I do like when random names are generated, they just need to sound less like hammering the keyboard and more lik
But I like the random names. Does that make me weird? Or is it just another symptom?
I am sorry, but I will have to disagree with this request. My Steam account works fine and I have no paranoia about Steam or need for a physical copy I would likely lose or damage anyway. Please, Stardock and Brad, continue your migration into the twenty-first century style of game purchasing. It is my personal perception that the anti-Steam percentage of gamers is loud but very much in the minority. Also, it is shrinking steadily as time passes.
The mountains look terrific and even better in close up. The dragon stands out. I expect uncovering that from the fog will be startling. The road seems more visible and the city parts more delineated. The trees look more like a forest. I am still slightly fonder of the older look, but it's close. On close up, I would much prefer it if the individual trees lost the outlining. The green ground seems brighter and more like hope in a dar
It's too bright in here. Can you do something about that please? Sorry, that's one of my obsessions. The family once bought me a shirt that reads: "I am only wearing black until they make something darker." It is starting to fade to dark grey. Such irony.
Please make FE bigger and better and even more wonder filled. It seems to me to fill an interesting unique game playing niche that Stardock could shine in as well as it does with GalCiv2.
I can only repeat that this is the buggiest game that I've ever played (and I could even add a "by far") and Stardock is the most unresponsive company I know.
As I've told my kids a billion times, hyperbole erases believability, but they are by far the most unresponsive and buggiest kids I know.
One pioneer at a time per faction. You can't build a second one until you plant or lose the first. That'll slow things down.
I am going to agree with the OP. I will watch closer what I am doing and what I am seeing, but I would have agreed with everything in the OP before there were the strike outs. If there is some too-small-to-see indicator on my screen, then as far as I am concerned, it doesn't exist. I end up fiddling with selections over and over again or else accidentally overloading one of my champions and getting irritated yet again. It is a wonderful game, but I don't
Except they only debug vanilla saves. Who is really using pure vanilla these days?
I am using pure vanilla. Everyone I know who is playing the game is using pure vanilla. Therefore, all players are using vanilla these days. (By my informal sample size) You make interesting assumptions about what the developers need to support. I have no expectation of support of mods from the dev
Sounds great! I have no idea how to make a quest, but I love the idea of both learning and contributing.
I am playing Medium right now as I learn the game. But I tested a couple of times and it looks like my computer will handle Large and that will become my default Setting.
