I noticed that humans can reliably dodge volley pods, but no matter which way I turn against the AI, the explosions always appear on top of my units. Does the AI cheat, or am I just one second too slow?
I've noticed this too, but when the explosions appear on my units against the AI, they don't do damage. It just seems to be a graphical glitch.

I think it would work well to use the Events feature of the steam group, everyone gets notified when it starts.

Are there any plans for cosmetic parts you can put on your servo? Additionally/alternatively, skins for parts. Like how CS:Go has rarities of camos for the weapons.
That's great to hear! Hello rest of the dev team!
Yeah, Metal Fatigue! *high five*
Hi, I'm Andy. I'm a software developer by day and a game developer by night. I bought Servo right away because it looked like Metal Fatigue. Pretty much the only reason. [e digicons][/e]
Is the campaign going to be a strictly static thing, or a repeatable thing? By repeatable I mean like Dawn of War Dark Crusade. That was a pretty awesome setup it had, where you were capturing territories and fighting against other factions, using RTS battles.
We're the "lots of updates and comms" folks.
Okay I might as well ask here: how come it's just you and Thunder talking on the forums? I assume the team is bigger than that.
As for the frequent resets, will we lose everything everything, including credits? If so it would be a good idea for all of us to really keep in mind not to grind too much as to not burn out on it. What is RC in your context here? Release Candidate?
As far as new drone types, I think we need a siege breaking drone that is like a rolling ball of TNT or something. Late game it is very hard to actually push a base so having a unit that simply rolls in and suicides with a damage multiplier against buildings would be very useful.
I like that idea. In Metal Fatigue there was a Nemesis unit, which was basically a suicide truck like described above, but it would disable combots
Funny you mention that I opened a crate last night after I posted that and got an epic drop.
I actually got Artisan and Priceless mixed up. Grats on the epic drop though!
Okay, yeah +5% is better than I thought it was. I thought it would be: Opponent has a 10% chance for a proc. When that happens, you get 5% chance to resist it. That's pretty bad.
Just spit balling here, but maybe something that pushes a unit away, but the skill if only active with the left hand.
That's a pretty neat idea!
It's something that's on our list.
Awesomesauce!
Yeah, adds another two buttons to the UI (since we'd really have to show the default attack by, um, default and the switch button, though maybe the switch button can be a smaller one or something)
Dawn of War got away with one button, it showed a sword if melee was preferred and a gun is ranged was p
The 75k crate is priced that way so that it stays the same as you level up. We could price it down, but then we'll have to raise the price as you level up to compensate for how good the rarer stuff is (price-wise) at the higher levels.
From this it seems like there's then no point in buying an epic crate until you're max level, because you'll just be wasting money. Am I correct in thinking that 75k at level 1 will
I can add the .pdf extension and it loads fine. *shrug*
I'm pretty sure 0.05 == 5%. 0.05 is 5% of 1. Probably a little implantation detail leaking through, but the game really should use one representation consistently.
Yeah that's all I meant, that it should say 5% instead of 0.05. (5% is still pretty pathetic though)
Not a part, but Hauk's Pet ability doesn't have the 30 second cooldown it lists. It can be cast over and over (which is pretty handy!)
Grenade Launchers - I have found two GLs so far, and they both deal triple their listed damage. Instead of doing the 150 damage listed, they deal 450 damage base. When I add a +125 grenade damage per rank head, they do 825 damage at T2. This has allowed me to do a Tech rush and instantly b
Backstory downloads without the whole file name and extension. Cool stuff though! I've always wished I could do concept art like that.
Devs: Is it feasible to have separate animations for when two melee servos get in combat? That is, alternating blocking and attacking, etc. Again, this is from metal fatigue, and it was pretty cool seeing two combots in melee. (I understand that combat in servo is a bit faster, just a thought is all)
The short answer is basically "because that's where Unity3D puts user data". Why they use LocalLow, I'm not exactly sure, but it may be because they also have a web plugin and LocalLow is compatible with sandboxed environments from what I understand.
Oh that makes sense I suppose. Now that I look around in there, it's mostly Unity games.
Tonight isn't May 8th!
I'm going to say that co-op is the most fun right now. I like co-op in gneeral, but it seems to work well in this game. It just needs scaling rewards, maybe an endless mode, etc. The difficulty difference between the two maps right now is huge. Could the game support 3 or 4 player co-op? Would be crazy.
