but I've managed to get a few nice Artisan drops from the crates I bought at Drex's shop.
Are you some kind of RNG God? [e digicons]o_O[/e]

My highest premium part is 225,000.
Great ideas Skoolbus. Another idea is maybe combining lower quality gear into higher quality gear? I would still rather just randomly get the things I want, rather than sift through junk to get what I want. In its current iteration I compare the loot crates to Hearthstone card packs. You start out getting only stuff you don't have, but once you have most of the common cards, it's just a lot of junk coming out of the packs. You then take the extra cards, disenchant them
Why does Servo use LocalLow? I've never seen another application use it.
Okay anyway, I'm not trying to nitpick the finer details of balance here. I'm getting some baseline numbers to work with. For example, 2 turrets to kill one servo. I think this could be increased to 4 turrets to kill one servo, adjusting the turret cost, etc. Drillers could be bumped to 8 or more, etc. I'm not sure what the performance implications are, but the servos are about double the power of the little units. And that just doesn't feel right. I'd rath
So I did a test match with Thunder just now to try a bunch of experiments on servos vs turrets, servos vs drillers, etc. Servos vs Turrets This one is kind of important because it dictates the degree to which you can turtle in a base with turrets. Here's the results: 1 turret vs 1 melee servo: Turrets stop attacking when a servo engages them in melee! I
Hm that sounds fancy. Well I suggest making sure that all the damage types and names are well laid out! In Warframe there is (or was) a mod which stated "+7.5% Laser Resistance". Laser wasn't a damage type in the game. People thought it might be Radiation resistance, since that's the damage type that Corpus weapons deal, but it turned out that the mod did absolutely nothing. Also in warframe Corrosive is a damage type which procs a Corrosive debuff low
Is there any reason it's not just Acid damage that procs an Acid DOT that does Acid damage?
👍 Looking forward to the updates.
Cool, looking forward to the dropship stuff. I was playing with another player today and he had lots of gear, rocket launchers, minigun, and I asked how he got then. He said he just played a skirmish on Easy over and over and was able to get credits a lot faster that way. I'm not saying this is wrong or anything, but is seems a bit silly that you can grind parts that way better than succeeding in co-op games!
In Dawn of War (and Metal Fatigue actually), ranged units were at an inherent disadvantage in melee. For example, in Metal Fatigue, if you equipped your bot with two long ranged weapons, it was very powerful and you wanted to stay away from it. It could wreck an army of small units. However if you got close and in melee with another bot, all it could do was piddly damage by whacking the other bot with the ranged weapons. If you put one ranged and one melee, you were much more versatil
I agree with what Tchey says here, I feel the drones are main units, and servos the support, and it should be the opposite. Servos are definitely more powerful than drones but...it's weird. The balance with turrets is also odd feeling. I'll do a bigger write up of it some time.
Great, looking forward to the balances and FX/anims. Servos are too squishy! So, from the site's FAQ, Do I still get parts if I lose? Yes! Not as many as if you'd won, naturally, but we want players to be rewarded for playing the game. It should feel good, not stressful, to jump back into matchmaking after a loss. I haven't felt rewarded at all so far :( Maybe if every match dropped a single
That's really interesting that it wasn't an influence for this game. Funny coincidence! I'd love mixing and matching parts more, it adds a large more amount of customizability and personalization. Dawn of War 2 handled this by having a toggle button in the unit panel for "prefer melee" and "prefer ranged". Units could use the pistol while running towards the enemy, but then engaged in melee. A unit "in melee" couldn't use its gun. But that's actually direct
I agree with all of the above here. Global drone configuration, rally point for all factories, or at least setting drone type and rally point when you build the factory. 👍
Basically, I'd like to respond to the Founders Alpha Begins for Servo post...yesterday. RTS is in BonusXP’s DNA, but in Servo your attention is on what matters: harnessing the awesome power of the lumbering metal monstrosities you designed, not telling villagers to pick berries. I really like the idea here - harnessing the power of lumbering metal monstrosities. B
So the main reason that I instantly joined the founders for this game is because it has reminded me so much of Metal Fatigue . I've been waiting for a sequel to Metal Fatigue, or making my own game like Metal Fatigue, or playing any game that involved RTS and customizable robots. Servo isn't quite the same, but it's filling that itch I've had for a while. Devs, is this game in any way inf
Yep, this was a lot of fun, even if I crashed several times and lagged out the last game (but we won!) It's really disappointing only getting 500 credits (1/4 of a loot crate) for a co-op win though :(
