So glad you are able to keep things going after that disaster. I haven't bought much in recent years, other than Start 10 and Start 11, but I do go back with Stardock to the early OS/2 days. Brad was still coding in his dorm room back then. I still miss OS/2 and wish it had the success it deserved. I still follow Stardock's progress and check this website every day. Keep up the good fight Stardock.

Not sure when, but I was a Stardock customer early back in the OS/2 days (A better Windows than Windows). I still miss that OS. I would have started using WindowBlinds after OS/2 was killed off and I was forced back to windows. I haven't used WindowBlinds for several years now.

c242 it looks like we both joined the same time. I'm not very active here, but I read the forum just about every day. So thanks to all the posters, especially the active ones. Stardock customer going back to the early OS/2 days. I still believe that OS/2 was the best. It took MS many years to come close to catching up. A better Windows than Windows indeed.

You might want to give Corel Paint Shop Pro a try. Much less complicated than PhotoShop and much, much less expensive It's available from Corel for $60.00. I've never used Paint, but I'm confident that Paint Shop Pro is a much more powerful program. There's a trial or at least a money back period for you to try it out.

It's a question they can answer, but they may not want to step on the toes of a commerce partner. I can assure you that Stardock makes more from a product they sell direct than one sold through Steam. Steam has to get a cut of their sale price, as would any retailer. I love Steam and buy from them. But I wouldn't buy a Stardock product from them and deprive Stardock the additional profit however small. I'm a Stardock customer from way back in the early OS

Glad to hear that Brad will be around here more often. I go back to the OS2 days with Stardock. I do have a Facebook account just to keep up with what my grown kids and my son's business are doing. But even on Facebook I'm not really me, if you know what I mean. Personally I miss the old email mailing lists. Those worked really well for me. Now it's forums like this one since the email lists have died.

It's not a Windows 8 live tile, but the best email notifier I've found is called PopTray. It sets in the tray and shows how many emails have arrived in each of your email accounts. You set the refresh interval and can color code individual email accounts. You can preview mail and delete mail, if you wish, right from the notifier. It hasn't been updated in a while, but still works perfectly. Works just fine on Windows 8 with modern mix. Not

Thanks Jeff. The problem now seem to be solved, at least on my end. Here's the info you asked about and how the problem was solved for me. Yes, UAC is on. I am running under my administrator account (bad boy, yes, I know). I didn't know whether I was trying to run OD+ "as administrator" or not. I checked the shortcut under All Programs on the start menu. The "Run As Administrator" check box was NOT checked. For no good reason I clicked on that shortcut to
