Even a level 1 dragon is an army killer.
and it does eventually level if you treat it right. The real trick is when do you complete it. If it's too late in the game, it loses substance.

Easily overwhelmed defeating the purpose or even the extra strength of the attack bonus. I think it should include an immune to swarm effect, or swarm effect reduced by 50%. That way it is completely viable to run a small army. I do believe that is the purpose of the double strike, so each unit may count as 2 in a pinch, but the Tarth bonus i

Bows should have the rain of arrows ability and staves should have the focus ability that works like the spell with an additional action. Staves should use spell mastery for the attack and spell resistance for the defense.
I like these thoughts. I would offer that 'rain of arrows' be limited in range (assuming that you mean for the abi
Shouldn't treaties be binding, or at the very least a heavy penalty imposed for breaking them ? And if the AI can break treaties, why can't you ?
I think this really opens up a VERY insteresting debate as to how diplomancy could operate succesfully. I've always considered the fact that you are 'locked' into an agreement to be very frustrating. However at the same time, I most certainly never

Difficult to say what is critical and what is wishful, but here is my list of "to-do": City Militia need ALOT of love. They require armour. (See parrotmath's armor mod to get you started). YOUR city militia also disappear after the first combat in a turn BUT AI city militia is full health every combat within a turn. Major imbalance and unfairness. Both AI and player should be under SAME rules. City militia should have health and death tracked throughout the turn so that mul

Bought and built myself back in 2007: Intel E8400 dual-core, 3gig 3gig. Nvidia E8800 GT. 512 megs vRAM 4 gigs Corsair DDR2 RAM Win XP professional 32-bit OS. (let's me utilize the dual core) 2 21" std monitors Just beginning to see products on the horizon that are only offered in 64-bit. I can see myself purchasing win-7 64-bit OS and upping my RAM to 16 gigs in a year or two....but I'd lose a great deal
*** Unreleased *** Shard Altars require Shard Harvesting (Shrines moved to Immortal Codex and Temples to Ereog's Journals)
This is interesting. Maybe I'm getting the names mixed up, but this sure appears to mean that you cannot claim control over a shard until you've researched Shard Harvesting. I like it. It's the way it should be. Please backport to FE. ;)

I would be very leary to remove the XP split...especially with 0.87 increasing the strength of champions again. Stack of Doom was MoM's second major weakness. (the first was the AI of course). The last thing SD needs to do is reintroduce such an obvious flaw.

Purchase price for items has always seemed a bit on the high side and lowering these will make it even more that way.
I've really found purchase price of everything to be very high. About the only thing that's been balanced is the cost of horses and wargs now. I'm not at my game at the moment, but I th

My best 4x experiances have included empires consisting of 7-12 cities. When it comes to FE, I try to push towards that end in the hopes of adding another 'best' to the books. I would think that only 1/4 cities needs to be a Fortress. The rest would depend on available essence, but I'd try to split Conclaves and Towns equally.

Couldn't/shouldn't the XP gained from a vetran unit be cashed in at a fortress for available fortress perks ??? ie: De-level you unit in exchange for different abilities. Definately worth considering...

I do like that fortresses serve the purpose of reducing unrest and I most certainly would not want to take away that importance. I wouldn't mind it though if the fortress level 3 provided an unrest option as well in order to give you the option at level 4 to choose something other than the now currently obvious choice of prison. My thoughts in adding 3 structures in the town tree was simple to mitigate the 15% corruption and no more. Bring more meaning to the tax system.

It would also give the player more of an opportunity to get to the AI. GFireflyE, are you talking about only shards in the players territory or everywhere? If everywhere, that kind of goes against SoM as the peaceful builder's victory option. The spawning from shards idea is cool though

I runs 32-bit XP with 3gigs RAM and dont have any sort of problem. (expect for the LACK of pedestrians!!!) imo Win-7 shouldnt being running on anything less than 16 gigs of RAM.
