Hey that's my mini grill sitting on top of the safe in what used to be The Man Cave (Publishing/Impulse Office)
Thanks :) For the most part, we're doing well. Of the Impulse team, most of us went on to bigger and better things over the last 12 or so months. A few moved into other positions within GameStop, but those who moved out of the company went on to some pretty interesting stuff. A few of the companies Impulse alums went to: Yvolver <a href="http://www.nightdivestudios.com/" target="_blan
This news made me sad too. I chose to leave GameStop last year after a lot of the decisions you're just now learning about (no more client, US-only sales, steam codes via email etc.) were finalized. I remember being in the first planning meeting for what "the next version of Stardock Central" would be. I remember launching the first THQ game, the first EA game, the first Ubisoft game on Impulse. I still think we had something that could have been a real com
I really think there should be a special forum badge for us Stardock Alumni ;)
I just looked into this, and your account (Yedly) was not transitioned to GameStop.
There was a mis-communication on today's sale. It's been corrected.

The update speed in the verifying step has to do with the number of files a game has. We do differential patches and check each and every file in the game directory and compare that against the file list for the new version. Based on what's different, that's what you download. Games with a lot of files will take longer in this phase of updating.
Not in charge of the Impulse team (That'd be Yarlen) ;) I merely sit around looking pretty. Thanks everyone :)
Over on the Impulse side of the company. Been very active there the last 3 years :)

We've reproduced the crashing and are working on an update to fix the problem.
F2P is a very tricky thing to pull off successfully. You're essentially trying to find a balance between two competing goals: A free game, and a way to pay the developers to make the game. The key is presenting sufficient value in the "Free" game, but at the same time, provide enough extra incentive in the paid pieces to keep the game operating. This is what games like LotRO, DDO, LOL etc do well. The core of the game is there for everyone to enjoy. The additio
The Baldur's Gate series is what really got me hooked on computer RPGs. I spent hundreds of hours exploring the Sword Coast, Baldur's Gate, Amn and the surrounding countryside. I feel these games are "required" for gamers in the same way classics of literature are required for avid readers. There is a lot to learn from how these games were made.
We've corrected an issue in the Kingmaker and Majesty 2 installs on Impulse that should address this issue for new installs going forward.
What languages are you installing for base game & BoA?
The entire "End of the World" scenario has a lot of story possibility. They could take this and run with it for at least 5 seasons without stretching much of anything. Knowing nothing of the comics myself, and having just watched the pilot, here are possible topics they could explore: Who's left? Finding the small pockets of survivors, and how everyone is coping with the zombie apocalypse. Are there towns untouched? How did it happen? E

Working on the patch for Impulse now.
What can I say? I'm committed! (Or was that, 'I should be committed'? Oh well!)
Yes. They should work with retail and D2D (or gamers gate etc).
Not currently, sorry.
