I wish gamers werent such a hypocritical whiny mob with short term memory. Kudos for trying to make the stand alone a dlc. "OMG no single player = no buy!! But omg Overwatch is da best!!!" "OMG game is too easy! But Endless legend is so beautiful, despite AI being braindead" "OMG microtransaction! You're ripping us off!! but CK2 with $100+ of dlc is totally awesome!" "OMG microsoft is anti-gamer with their draconian XB1 policies, but they gave us mods

Great patch! Was research speed addressed as well?
[quote who="Voqar" reply="48" id="3660931"] This is all good stuff but kinda like I said in the other thread...why has it taken so long for this to happen? If YOU think the game is that far off and in need of help - where was this level of editorial control/oversight months ago? And why can only Brad see these kinds of things in the design/code? Just seems a little odd that there's only one person in the whole company capable of this level of observation... <br
[quote who="leiavoia" reply="9" id="3560830"] I'm going to say "No", GalCiv2 did not have good AI. I'll explain: (Disclaimers: I only played Twilight and not the previous expansions or vanilla game. I enjoyed the game for many many hours and it was well worth the money. Not complaining at all.) The basic problem was that the AI was very complacent and apparently not interested in actually winning the game. Symptoms:
I'm playing the ultimate edition with the community update and I consider myself to be above average on this genre, not elite. That being said, I'm having a blast and the Ai is certainly doing well. I'm satisfied until I get a better comp to play 3. I would give it a 9/10. @frogboy people are stupid. Did you see the raving reviews about endless legends when the Ai is as dumb as a doorknob and can't strategize properly or manage units at all? I don't bat an eye at a
Yea but its ok. I'll buy it again from steam. Any idea how to run galciv 3 without crashing?
Well I have a surface pro 3 4gb which can't run even tiny maps without crashing. The crashing started around turn 35 and after it did, I can't even boot the game up.
I understand that. I've used it fine in other games. These units are unstationed as well outside of cities.
Thank you very much. Now one last question that has me worried. Call of the Titans bugs out for me in my current game. It does not teleport all my units, but rather, everyone but the sovereign. And it lets me cast it twice in a row. Is this intended? This is after my soveriegn wouldn't leave the group of him and another hero. If I left it like that, casting call of the titans shows the graphic and shiny sparkles on a tile, but nothing is teleported there.
Since my posts have been largely ignored, I ask you this. In the dances with dragons tech, it says i can build a monument to recruit ashwake dragons, where is the monument? I built a building on the lair but got a single fell dragon, where are the three ashwake dragons and monument it talks about?
I have a stack with my sovereign, a hero, 3 units and a pioneer and it wont teleport. I just loaded up a save with a previous game and it works fine :( Why does this game bug out? I'm afraid to play it now when entire abilities bug out and ruin my strategy. 6 hours in ffs
I'm playing the latest FE build. I cast the spell on an appropriate tile but nothing happens. I hear the sound, I lose mana, but no troops move. Heck it even lets me uselessly cast it again. What gives?
I apologize. Silly me, I had the "no ranged weapons" trait. Please delete.
I created a custom trog sovereign who was an adventurer but had customized to be mage-like in everyway. The enchanters trait did NOT show the Leht staff at all nor did it show mage specific upgrades in the arcane weapons line. Creating a new game with Queen Procipine, everything showed up like it was supposed to. Is this trait bugged or do we have to be a certain race/profession?
I've spent the better part of an hour trying to figure out simple things like how the hell Dances with Dragons works (what damn monument are they talkinga bout) and where the hell to find the Leht staff (it is NOT under Arcane weapons, NOR in the shop and YES I do have both end game techs researched, arcane weapons and the other one, and how the HELL was I supposed to know we needed to research those?) The wiki is scarce on information for a ton of things and I'
Im sorry bit I've looked there and I see nothing underneath it. It isn't in the shop either.
Could you tellme how to get the leht staff from the enchanters trait as well?
Thank you for the answer. But where is the quest? It seems like a waste to spend so much time researching that tech and now I have no clue where to look for the quest.
I researched dances and can't for the life of me understand what monument it needs for the ashwake dragons recruitment it mentions. And also, if I build a unit then make an upgrade to their accuracy or defense in the city I built them in after I make them, are the upgrades in accurace and defense retroactively applied to all of my units or just the ones I build from then on?
I wanted to say first off that I really like this mod, especially the lizardmen. I ask this question because in my unmodded game on challenging I got steamrolled yet the first game I played with the mod, it was a cakewalk even at that difficulty. Are there any AI issues related to the mod with all the new races and stuff added?
Thank you for the informative replies!
I apologize if this has been covered, but I searched and couldn't find a specific answer. I understand that buying LH gives you FE automatically. What I'm not sure of is if we have to wait until LH is actually released to be able to play the FE thats packaged with it or do we instantly have access to FE as soon as we preorder LH. This question is for preordering from steam.
Am I understanding you correctly if the beta is coming out next week-ish, I could preorder it and since it comes with FE, I could just play that instead? Or should I order FE separately?
I was wondering if it would be a good idea for a newcomer to the series to start playing for the first time during the beta. I'm concerned about a lack of guides or tutorials that might hinder my fun. In addition, is this game coming out next month?
