Seasons actually correspond to a planet's axial tilt, not its motion around the star. There's no reason why there has to be a fixed relationship between seasons and years.

Oh, my god, I thought I was the only person to play that game. I couldn't get too far into it, but what I saw was so amazing... YESYESYESYES !!! ... i'm a firm believer that EotFS should be remade with todays graphics (I've stated as much in a few places in the SD forums allready^^). No other game has had

I'm thinking v1.2 will bring it to an 8 out of 10.
You do realize that Metacritic user scores rate Galciv2 and its expansions at consistently between 7 and 8 out of 10, right? So you think Elemental is currently about as good as Galciv2? Or d

Pretty sure it didn't happen in 1.1.

I've never used it either, but to be fair it does say in the description that it summons ALL unstationed units. Which would logically include caravans. I wasn't sure whether that would include all unstationed enemy units as well, which would be a really powerful spell.

Only particular squares near each town will trigger the quest. Have you tried dancing around to find "the one" ? I had to when I went through the campaign. Honestly the campaign is kind of worthless since it doesn't even really teach one how to play the game, because one doesn't have access to most of the game features from within the campaign.

You're limited by the amount of gold you have, just like casting Heal or Regeneration is limited by the amount of mana you have. I agree you shouldn't be able to consume health pots in combat, especially for free, but that's not what the OP was on about.
Froggy since in the past you have asked about this sort of thing, i dunno if anyone has mentioned it but lately i find when i face multiple battles in my zone of influence i always buy meat jerky to heal my troops in between fights. Might be another reason to add a cooldown to shop items spawning in the stores.
I'm not sure what the issue is here. You're trading gold for health. Why wouldn't that be legitimate? Are

I'm guessing it's the 1.1d executable with a few extras tossed in to call it a real update. I guess smaller, more frequent fixes are better than bigger, longer-wait ones, though. Not needing so many fixes would be even better, of course.

The ones I made in 1.1 were not deleted in 1.11, so this is perhaps a bug. In fact, I lost nothing in the update except that I had to re-do all the stuff in the options menu.

Good idea, but what if you have zero shards of that type? What if you have every shard but Earth in the Spring? Can you then cast the Spell of Making?

Why should units have to make way for each other on roads anyway? Are these roads one man wide? Units can occupy the same tile without being in the same army, even if they're at war with each other. I've seen it with my own eyes. So why shouldn't they be able to walk through each other?

It doesn't seem to me that it's a diplomatic capital problem so much as a perceived value problem with the AI. They value it highly under strange and counterintuitive circumstances. When the AI declares war on me, for example, even if I let them win for a good while, eventually they'll value my DC very highly (like 11 to 1) and I'll be able to buy a peace treaty easily. Shouldn't DC with someone you're at war with be especially worthless if you're not losing?

It seems to me that any quest that asks for a gewgaw ought to generate the places where the gewgaw can be found. Otherwise the fact that they're so random means the questing experience is inconsistent and frustrating.

Unit pathfinding doesn't have the proper weight to shun non-road forest tiles. My units will try to go through the forest rather than walk slightly around it, even though the path around would be faster. They also don't always seek road when they should, but usually are good about that. Even on large maps with few opponents, starting locations tend (in my experience anyway) to be clustered together, with a lot of empty wasteland at the edges of the map. Contact happens too early in th

Yeah, that's all it takes, although you might want to backup the original exe. Impulse will put the original one back if you ask it to, but it's just good practice to backup core files before you modify them manually. Even if it's a developer hotfix.

Thanks, kryo. After very thoroughly wiping all display drivers from the system, and reinstalling the latest Catalyst, the problem is gone. So this one was my fault, for not properly uninstalling display drivers before I updated them.
