Yeah I gotta say I personally have been enjoying the 30 pop cost, as jirkaesch said it presents a real tough/interesting strategic choice. Does cause a problem with outposts though. Need to be able to build them with less of a cost. Not sure about it hurting AI, will have to take other word for if it hinders AI. I still get my b

Ah geez no wonder my guys were leveling so slowly. Didn't notice this was back in. Nori makes a good point here though... logically having and an Assassin and a Defender, or a Warrior and a Mage in the same army makes sense you'd think... but it's a big hit if you do that.
Yeah agreed, they are a bit small... they could go double size.
You can only build them if you are Empire I believe, could it be that? Oh, and first you have to find a resource on the map to make one. You build them on a darkling camp. Same as Ogres etc. Generally there is a camp occupied some darklings ogres etc... then you go beat them up.... then once that's done you can build a darkling/ogre camp or whatever it's called in that spot to recruit them.
You'd have the scout consumed when making an outpost.
Just thinking about Betrayers faction trait. Presumably it gives you a larger pool of champions to draw from when you are due for one, but it really doesn't help you get *more* champions now (like it does in FE). I know you still get Broken Loyalties. But i'm thinking it's probably only worth a cost of 1 point rather than 2 in LH, when creating a new faction. Thoughts?
Good suggestions... I particularly like some of those UI ideas... "Small" things like item 3,4 & 5 are well thought out clever ideas that would be really handy. Yes please to those.
Yes please.
Yeah I like the hardcap, I think the yields are pretty good now. Having said that the occasional "special" tile in the wildlands or in a hard to get to location would be cool. Great post from Kael - good to see a detailed explanation on the reasoning that has gone into it.
Another vote here for something to be done on this. Ability to open/close borders selectively to factions would be great.
Yeah i'd love something, anything - other than insta-raze. Not just for monsters, for when you lose a city to another faction also. If raze has to be instant, maybe make it so razing doesn't completely wipe out all trace of the city. Destroy 50% of buildings and population instead or something. Or as suggested maybe the amount of buildings/population destroyed is based on army/monsters strength. I wouldn't mind seeing
Yeah I suspect it might be something along those lines too :-(
Did you read all of my post, it doesn't seem to do anything.....? (Happy to be proven wrong)
It needs to be offset though. Each adjacent defending unit should reduce the swarm effect by an equal amount.
Yeah another vote for this.
If it's a three-on-three battle, it's not a swarm.
Exactly. [e digicons][/e] Swarm is a neat idea, but this just makes sense. <br
So, seems like there is pretty much no groundcover at all now? I know it was going to be reduced but it looks like there's basically none. Looks a bit to plain for me. And seems the groundcover slider doesn't work so we can't turn it up either? Anyone else miss groundcover? :-( Looks great other than that.
Just spent my first hour with LH and decided to take a quick look in the Workshop. I notice the file sorting has been fixed up so we can now sort files via name or date when loading. Thanks Frogboy/Kael for sorting that out, much appreciated. [e digicons][/e] I guess the next question is whether you will do the same in the next FE patch. But regardless, still nice to see it done in LH.
Well I could be off the mark here, but pretty sure this correct.... They're essentially 2 different games, obvisouly a lot in common but thy're 2 seperate things. I don't believe you get FE with LH. If you pre-order LH you would be able to play in the beta but you wouldn't be able to play FE. If you buy FE now it will cost you about $30. Then you can upgrade to LH later if you want probably for about $20. If you buy LH n
It already exists.
Well bugger me, hadn't noticed that one! Oh well so long as we can turn it back up if we like then all's well. Thanks.
Hi all, Anyone know what does exactly? I know that lets a unit cast spells, and I think that's also what lets them use items.... and activates non-permadeath. But what the heck does i'm not sure. Cheers.
That's an amazing hack
Heh, it is isn't it :-) Clever "solution" from parrotm there. And yeah agree, it's a good minor boost to milita that works well. Brad take note just steal this mate. [e digicons]:-"[/e]
Reduced the amount of ground props to make the map more clear and to make game impacting terrain features more recognizable.
Yeah you'd think the ideal option for this one would perhaps be a slider in advanced/graphics options. Maybe that's complicated to implement though.
Unrest should also impact city defenders- more unrest, the fewer you get, or the less HP they start with.
That's a pretty good idea.
Also would like to see some mounted units vs spears/pikes set bonus for infantry
Yes pls, 2nd this.
Complex quests. Monsters with new models. Items/Weapons/Armor with new models. Stuff that's hard (or impossible) for modders to make.
Not for LH yet obviously but just in case you're not aware there is a mod for FE that adds some armor to militia: https://forums.elementalgame.com/437988 Probably not quite what you're after but in the ballpark.
