So I bought Start8. Thanks for making it! Now that all Stardock software is on sale I'd reconsider buying something more. Which is the best way to get multiple desktops on Windows 8 with SD software? I'm particularly interested in one feature - I'd like to change between sets of open windows. I'd also be nice to be able to drag windows between sets (ie. desktops). Also: the more lightweight the better.
I've spoken to the designer, and some good new features will come out in about a month, such as high score list. Also bug fixes for the discovered bugs.
Good to hear that. I hope he won't stop working on the game once it's debugged. This game has such a potential (even for commercial release imo).

So I've played few times. Great game. Just as mqpiffle said: simple mechanics, yet challenging and enjoyable game. I wonder how many gems like this are there...

Thanks for answers.
The easy (and most accurate) answer is "when it's done". We're aiming for late-2015, but it's possible I push that back even further in order to ensure AtG is truly polished.
Releasing the game sets it in stone (to some degree). So take your time.

With this money they are buying the most simple thing: Google being default browser search engine in Firefox. That's it.

1. Are you willing to use Kickstarter platform in the future? You are one of those Kickstarter project creators who (will) deliver (vs those who failed, like guys that made CastleStory prototype and didn't make any real progress within a year and a half), so I'm sure people will trust you again. 2. When AtG will be released?

Desktops v2.0 is free because Microsoft wants it free (Sysinternals is their division). (Just like Firefox is free exists because Google wants it to.) Other software is free because programmer receives donations from happy customers. Yet another software is free because programmer gets revenue from ads on his/her site or in the program (adware) (as you said). etc.

As well as making the fenced in areas, it allows dragging desktops sideways to setup multiple desktop views. If that is what the other program does, maybe that'll work for you? Reply to On Sieges in Sorcerer King

Let's face it guys - we need proper city sieges : with archers on city walls and siege units. There is siege mechanic in every single HoMM and AOW game. Even the latest ones, with 3D engine, have this (in HoMM it looks a bit lame though). I know making siege mechanic costs and those games have bigger budget, and but it's worth it. Archers leaving city walls to defend the city, really? If sieges won't make it to vanilla SK, than make a DLC for SK (or for FE:
