blah blah yeah i've heard all the irrational nonsense re steam before, primarily from people that have barely used it and don't know what they're talking about. you can make up as many "reasons" as you like, the rest of us will keep playing and enjoying the opportunities steam provides. FYI steam is a huge part of the continuing success of PC gaming and is one of the best things to ever happen to the platform.
LOL yo

I knew Gamestop would ruin my Impulse purchases eventually. Now I have a game I paid for that I cannot reinstall without accepting a 3rd party contract. Oh well.. guess I'll write it off. The longer digital distribution goes on the more companies screw us and give me reason not to like it. I'll throw a hissy and when they tell me politely to go screw myself thats the end of my dealings with impulse/gamestop. [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e]

I'm just curious as to why some people are so interested in the the word forever when it comes to their video games. Is anything in your life really forever? We can own many things; cars, homes, boats, computers, tools, kitchen utensils, media of all types and guess what? They all deteriorate and non will last forever. So why should I
Judging from everyone's supposed hatred of snaking, perhaps this isn't all that unnecessary...
Meh doesn't bother me. People will find exploits regardless, I think its a waste of time if your changing things just because people exploit it in a single player game. Now memory usage is a far better reason for any change to city management in my opinion.
This game has recieved several patches already so this free DLC is different in some way. If you define value for money as re playability than this game, then this game is definitely worth it.
They call it DLC because it sounds better for marketing purposes. Free DLC sounds better in marketing than content patch, not a big deal.. its just amusing. [quote who="-RAISTLIN-" reply="8"
Quoting Cruxador, reply 14Hm. It looks like everyone's talking about the narrative of the strategy, and not the game itself. That's fine I suppose, there's plenty of time to talk about the game later, and the strategy is a very positive note to start this off on. However it's important that discussion of the game itself actually does occur before too long. The discussions should remain separated. I may have a few

I would rather see a governor get a small amount of a xp for each unit and or building produced in the city he is stationed at. Rather than a slow trickle no matter what. I'd prefer just buildings.. gives you a reason to move him around to smaller cities eventually. But that may be a hard sell for some people.

Such a brilliant marketing strategy, sounds like something I would come up with . [e digicons]:-"[/e] Seriously though, one cannot quantify the effects of consumers having good will toward a company. This type of thing tends to not only garner good will but make you stand out in the sea of developers, many of which are controlled by huge publishers who tend to act as if gamers owed them something. Ya if it wasn't for the fact that it keeps your old XP license tied to the PC.. meaning you can't take your copy of XP and install it on that old thing sitting in the corner. It might be worth it if it didn't use both of your licenses on a single install. But upgrades are a suckers bet considering your now using a copy of windows that ties up 2 licenses but only one legally allowed install. I guess as people in the industry you guys don't think twi

Lets clear something up. It doesn't matter if your running Win 7 or win Xp.. if your running 32 bit your User Mode addressable space for each 32 process is 2 GB.(without the 3GB switch of course) So regardless of your OS if you stop supporting 32 bit its going to affect anyone with a 32 bit OS.. not just XP users. Now..If your going to stop supporting direct X 9 then yes.. only windows XP and previous would be out.. but that would do nothing for memory gains. </

I'm torn about the idea of remaking old classic games, on one hand you want a new version of something you once really enjoyed, but you don't want the new version to suck. The big problem is that there are these gamers that refuse to look at anything objectively and also see any change in gameplay as heretical. Some times they have legitimate complaints, but most of the time it's complete bul

The fact that Incapusla sells website security solutions doesn't make you question the bias of such a report? Sure there's lots of malicious traffic out there.. but I think this is an exaggeration in order to drum up business.
