No 2, I had something similar happen to me as well. I was sure in tactical combat I would click on one square but my unit would move to another adjacent square.
Quoting TorinReborn, reply 3I researched bows and designed a bowman unit but it would not appear on the list of units I can build. What is up with that?.The Archery Range needs Archery, which depends on Fortifications, which depends on Training. Ranged Weapons, researchable quite before Archery itself, gives you bows but you cannot recruit units using them due to the lack of Archery Range (or until you research it). I haven't been able
I have not really played before this beta patch (only a couple of hours of campaign). Cities: But one of the bigger UI problems I found now is the lack of next/previous city button. You can click on the cities on the top left but that is not as good as next/previous. Also once you are on the improve city screen useful info about that city is missing and you need to exit that screen to check those out and enter that screen again (a pretty
I also noticed spells and arrows being resisted. Good to know it is going to be fixed
What I found out is that I could not found my first city on any empty space, but only on some (the option was gray). I lost 2 turns trying to find the one where it worked. Maybe this is a same issue?
Please, please, please, please ... please, please give us the beta 1.1 today :) I really want to spend this weekend finally playing this game.
Forget orcs and elves. We want Kenders :D
If you want a good 4x game to play in MP with exciting and balanced battles I suggest you try Birth of the Federation game.
Oh my, now that is certainly an interesting way of looking at things, wonder if that interpretation will work as a defense in court. I doubt it.
Does not matter in the end. We all die sooner or later. There is no need to be afraid of the tools of the bully (courts and police).
Laws are just a way for those in power to bully those without power. Usually led by greed.
Sounds awesome. I just hope you do give us the beta before the weekend ;)
I own Starcraft boardgame and it is really cool game if you like competitive boardgames. As for remakes, Majesty 2 was "recently" made and was almost same as Majesty 1 (except better graphics) which was an awesome game but I have not heard it was such a huge success or anything. As for remakes I would kill for the Gorgon alliance (mentioned here) or Syndicate Wars remake. As well as MoM one (why I am here as this is as close as it gets to that game). &nb
If I can remember correctly Birth of the Federation had training facilities that gave your ships exp for spending turns at that system doing nothing/training. Maybe a similar thing could be done here. A building that gives a certain amount of xp per turn based on the heroes Charisma.
P.S. currently (pre-1.1) 'free play' is actually a lot more polished and playable than the campaign. If you have not done that yet, you likely should.
I know it is, but I do not want to get into learning the rules since they are about to be changed. And 1.1 beta was supposed to be out almost 2 weeks ago so I just waited.. and then waited some more :D Actually, if I do not find 1.1 to be good enough,
Hehe, my story is the same, only I got in while they were still offering first 2 expansions for free :D I tried to play the campaign but after a few hours the interface and lack of polish just made me quit. Not to mention the story so far and quests are just so very uninteresting and boring while missions are easy and without risks. As for free play I am waiting for 1.1 before I start that.
What always amazes me is that in any discussion or conversation on a subject that will involve just about anyone at sometime in their life that there is a need to use such descriptive words in describing people that have true different opinions. Now I'm not talking about the trolls and those that just want to stir the pot. It's no wonder nothing of great importance ever gets resolved or solved in any of out lifetimes.&nbs
Quoting Goldmos, reply 5Well, like Heavenfall said, you can get a partial refund (around 75% IIRC). There is a major patch that's suppose to come out as a public beta this thursday so if you want, you can wait a little and see what's comming. Don't bother, someone like the OP will never be satisfied. I've seen this type before.
I think you are too hard on him. He did say he payed, played and love
I am sorry I used such words but I get angry each time I see people use word Anarchy like they have any clue what it means. In a perfect or near perfect world Anarchy would be the only way to for the world to work. As for complete moron, well I am not a native English speaker but I would say there can be more levels of moron and complete would the biggest one. But then my logic is flawed here as such a moron would not even be able to log into windows :D
I'm just thinking of the irony of this discussion on justice when we're at war with a people who practice the very system that some on here want so badly and even removed them for it. i.e. The Taliban in Afghanistan. It all comes down to the fact that they want Sharia Law instead of the more humane legal system we have now where everyone is equal under it.
Well I would just love to have islamic laws for banks and other financial
What is also interesting is when you rob a bank without guns and steal lets says 200 000 $ you get a bigger punishment then stealing much more money through fraud. @Fuzzy: You need to find out what word Anarchy really means before you continue throwing it away like this and looking a like a complete moron.
Someone mentioned earlier in a post I forgot to grab some tactical combat changes that had been asked about. All of that stuff is still coming, particularly an initiative based style of tactical combat, its just not a 1.1 thing. We are always looking for ways to make tactical combat more tactical, however, we also have to balance so that it doesn't feel like you HAVE to manually fight every battle to get halfway decent
TorinReborn, I am also from the US. At the ripe old age of 61 and having been to a few places around the word I can pretty much say that, with a few exceptions, one's life is what they make of it. Oh and I agree folks shouldn't put thier trust in the media and especially in those folks that always like to give you statistics. Alot of the times when someone gives me statistics I hear 'Well I asked two of my friends an
Well you probably need to look at my previous quote of lantec. Lantec basically stated that USA is the best country in the world and that the other guy can move out if he does not like it in USA(but it will not be better for him). So I decided to explain to him that the other guy can move to EU and have a much better life.
No, using already created, tested and established RPG systems make the job for developers of the cRPG easier. Paizo created Pathfinder which was based on the 3.5e and still needed more then a year to finish it and test is (and were using open beta to use the community to help them with this). A computer game that wants to use a more complex RPG system needs to use a established one to conserve time/money or make a more simple and Hack&Slash based. All my examples s
Ah, you mean like half the EU countries? By all means....I notice people are just lining up to emigrate from the US to the EU.
They probably would if your media wasn't biased. I know many US citizens think countries like Sweden or Norway are like some half communist countries or something although by all the objective lists of best countries to live in they are in top 5 in the world each time while USA is usually around
