I honestly haven't played since 1.20a due to all the bugs. To see these issues make it past QA into 1.3 just boggles my mind. As someone who posted bug reports pretty religiously through the 1.20 beta it's very disheartening to see stuff like this remains in the game. I just don't understand it. Back to MOM until FE beta starts...

Boats were nuked until SD could put some love into 'em.
I'm thinking teleport type spells should only be in the game if the AI both uses and knows how to counter. Otherwise it's just an unfair advantage for the player.
Derek - Reprisal on page 15 needs "stuck" changed to "struck" I think.
Any chance of getting some counterspell type stuff? Something like the sorcery spellbooks from MOM.
Oh yeah, #1. [Edit] Information about Magic AND it's in the form of a .pdf manual. Two birds with one stone. Outstanding!
Is it the love of money or the love of power that money provides?
@myfist0 - that cartoon was amazing.
More accurately, however....probably eliminating half the population of the US would do MORE to reduce man's impact on the planet/natural resources than 10 times that number within either China OR India
Ridiculous. I've been to India on business and it's a cesspool. I know people who've traveled to China - the Chinese are ravaging their environment.
The Creature from Jekyll Island. [Edit] BTW, good stuff myfist0. [Editx2] How many know Larry McDonald, quoted above, was killed in 1983 when the Soviet Union shot down Korean Air Lines Flight 007?
Give Master of Magic a whirl if you haven't tried it. Like $5 over at GOG. Worth every penny.

Oh, hell, I've been starving for Karma lately! I don't support not supporting supportive posters in this thread. I think.
The video looks great. Nice work!
This thread actually reminded me to buy the game off GOG - $5.99. Bought it a few days ago - forgot how damn fun it is. Hadn't touched it in 15 years or so but it all came back pretty quickly - especially the one man killing machine Torin. :) Nothing like putting 11 books into Life and casting Torin right out of the gate... pwnage. Totally recommend it for anyone who likes the genre or used to play it but hasn't in years - $5.99 is a hell of a deal for this classic. The depth

Even better analogy. I like blondes. But I also like redheads... and brunettes. Variety is the spice of life! [e digicons];P[/e]
sounds good, but it might also help the city spam issue for the influence range to be more like 2^city level(ie level 1 still 1 range, level 2 4 instead of 2,level 3 8 range, level 4 16 range and level 5 32 range), rather than the current which appears to be influence range=city level, as you can see from the example ranges I have suggested the bigger the city the ENORMOUSLY better the resource grab range which also reduces the NEED for lots
Frog - I mentioned in another post but I believe the following needs to be changed regarding points 3 and 4: Reduce the build time to 2 turns for 4, 4 for 8 & 6 for 12 (or 3 for 4, 6 for 8, & 9 for 12) or something like that. Just thinking in the context of a "season" and long it would reasonably take to form and train a unit. Right now it takes almost 3 years to form 4 pointy stick dudes. Leave the modifiers in there that extend the build time I guess for more complica
Neat. I'd like to see a few wandering sorts around still though. Also, one other thing. I really can't see players keeping their sovereign in the city initially. It's more fun to explore. I think people always will choose the fun option , especially since when it goes bad you just save and reload.
I like to roleplay and party it up in the capital
Welcome, my friends, once again to the sausage factory. While Fallen Enchantress continues forward internally, we also continue work on War of Magic. Right now, we’re working on the betas of v1.3 which are known as the 1.2X series (1.2c being the most recent beta). Having programmed most of the changes myself and gotten to play around with them at length as well as listen to feedback here are some of the thoughts I have in no particular ord

Lovin' the changes. The game seems much more crisp and clean performance wise - not a single DX error yet. Looks like I can cancel my weekly therapy sessions with the psychiatrist. Granted I'm only up to turn 50 so we'll see... if the DX errors happen again I'm gonna go hang out with Markinn, snort some lines together, and watch Yo Gabba Gabba. [e digicons]XD[/e] I also love the simultaneous damage. Tactical needs alot more love obviously but in my opin
Have a new one I need help with: ?- Sovereign weakness that reduces Constitution by 3 and only allows the unit to heal 1hp/turn (normally a unit heals level/turn and double that when they re in a city). I thought about "Scarred" or "Frail" but I'm not a huge fan of either.
As Charles Barkley might say, "lackadaisical" or "lackadaisical fortitude".
