I couldn't find a thread with a list of user generated Factions and Sovereigns . I my opinion the default factions / sovereigns are not so interesting, so i would like to spice the game up with some different stuff. If there is not such a post, is anybody interested to share what kind of factions and sovereigns s/he created with the assets the game provides ? So post the name of the faction and the leader. Also if you like screen shots

I play Elemental most of the time on my laptop and without a internet connection so i missed the patch after 1.08 Nearly finished the session without archers, so i will try them in the next game.
I think i bought Elemental just to fill the time until CIV 5 comes out. As a big Firaxis fanboy i really love this game and my opinion is that every version is a big improvement to the core game. I actually really like the Fantasy style and the RPG elements of Elemental, but there are two main reasons why i will (probably) play CIV for next couple of months. I had before patch 1.08 one battle where i attacked a city with 40 spiders in it. Every turn of the AI was i dont know 15 minutes or so. I always use "auto resolve" when a battle is to boring. But some "fast forward" button or faster animations in general would help a lot. Actually i also don't understand why the AI moves a unit and the another unit. Especially when they are just moving forward they could do this all together this would look much nicer a
Yes i had similar problems with version 1.08, i not even tried to rush, just put a small army of heroes together, made them champions and where looking for monsters and treasures so i can level them. Then i found most of the AI cities completely undefended or just one unarmed hero inside. (I tried the "challenging" difficulty) I understand that Stardock dont want their AI to "cheat" but maybe just placing some defense troops in every city would do some good. &nb
Hmmm, i started a new game with 1.0.8 and it was much more stable then before. (I had a crash or a complete freeze nearly every hour) But i had the impression that the AI is seriously broken now, i played with 4 AIs on "Challenging" in a tiny map and most AI never build a second city or build units. Some summoned some minor demon and had some equipment, so i could conquer all cities with minimal effort. Also the archers seem do be broken, they always misses even
Great Post Wintersong! I have one question about the "Beyond Elemental: Modding" section. There is a picture of "cat race" mod, but i couldnt find this mod in the mod libary and also not in the forums. Did i miss this or is this just a dummy picture ?

Strangely the thing which i really really dont like about Elemental are the randomly generated names. So i have several qeustions for the CoreNameRuleset.xml. A: is there a easy way to disable the generation and just use the list of default names. B: is it posible to distinguish between genders ? C: is it posible to distinguish between races or factions ? D: is it posible to have a seperate List for cities ?
I disagree, i think the random name generator should be disabled and just a huge list of good sounding names implementeand. Stardock can use a generator to create the list and pick only the good names if they like. I think this strange gibberish names is the thing which annoys me at most when playing elemental. And also i think when the unit is more then 1 person it shouldnt have a randomized name, but should be called "Soldiers" "Archers" "Raiders" and
I also hate the random names. Most of the time its just some ugly charackter soup. Also i dont have a clue why a group of 9 soldiers have a name, is this the name of the leader of the troup ? It would be much nicer if you see if the enemy is a archer / heavy soldier or whatever.

I have exactly the same problem, I was able to Imbue that first advisor Hero but with the second hero the game crashed. Also i have a lots of enchantments up and i also like to know how much Essence is needed per enchantment slot?
