1.08b - starting combat is too painful to watch

I had before patch 1.08 one battle where i attacked a city with 40 spiders in it. Every turn of the AI was i dont know 15 minutes or so.
I always use "auto resolve" when a battle is to boring.
But some "fast forward" button or faster animations in general would help a lot.
Actually i also don't understand why the AI moves a unit and the another unit. Especially when they are just moving forward they could do this all together this would look much nicer and would save us all a lot of time.
Before 1.08 one of AI had infinite debt bug, so he pumped out many troll packs and sent all on me. I really liked that situation, it was at least challenging.
I liked it until first battle that took 45 minutes. My archers did 1-5 damage, i had 4 units with one caster (i used his mana to freeze trolls). Each animation of archer shooting lasts about 10 sec. Troll packs had 1000 sometimes 2000 hp for bigger group. Now imagine around 300 turns for one tactical battle.
I could not use any other kind of units because they would get hammered in one or two tactical battles and casters could not replenish mana fast enough.
