More errors, on the way in. Once you reach a certain point, the game simply becomes unplayable.

Another batch o' errors, e-mailed in.
It's baaaaaaack... I sent a bevy of debug.errs and associated save files to codecritter and .
More errors sent.
More crashes. Emailed as online attachment. Edit: Think I have found a way to post link to my skydrive files here https://cid-08504392ff7c5f94.office.live.com/self.aspx/More%20Elemental%201.19%20OOM%20Crashes/Crash%20Rollup.zip
You could try one of the many maps that have preset resources. They are available for download from the main menu. How great is that? I recommend my own... Prirod.
How about some sanity check code on the regular random distribution? Shouldn't have to download stuff like that to have a decent experience.
The game is almost completely unplayable in this state (a whole six minutes between the crash, last time). Please swear up and down you will not release 1.2 without nailing down, and murdering the memory leaks. I've e-mailed stardock support and codecritter a pile of error files with saves, to help your ruthless murder (so far unsuccessful) of this bug.
Once again, a map filled with wolves, wolves, wolves. The single most abundant resource on the whole map is, of course, wolves. Number of horses? 0 Playable map this time, but eminently stupid.
It's an expression of excessive randomness. Sometimes there will be enough food, sometimes it will be all wolves, all the way... Sanity checking is needed.
I've been fiddling around in 1.19, and whatever you've done with the resource generation system, it's stupid. It generates retard setups at least as often as it generates something worth playing on. I've played about 6 maps tonight, and of the 6, only one has been worth bothering with. I've had the refugee camp horde (at least somewhat playable). An epic, endless pack of wargs (literally, the only resources within about 30 tiles of my kingdom were one food and like 8 wa
Once I get well into the game, it's doomed. The memory leak takes over and kills it every 20-40 minutes. I've emailed in some debug and saves for your perusal.
I'm getting the same crash. I e-mailed the logs.zip file created by your sdsupporttool.exe file to support@stardock,com, as that drop.io service is pining for the fjords. If this tool doesn't generate the info you need, could you inform us of a better way to get the appropriate info to the right people?
One thing that bugs me incessantly about v1.1 is the fact that at any difficulty level (for opponents) higher than normal, diplomacy is effectively impossible. The computer produces an endless stream of garbage units (which, incidentally, is one of the reasons it sux, piss poor planning does not win wars), that endless supply of garbage units make his "power" rating go through the roof, and he, therefore, refuses to conduct diplomacy with you, despite the fact that you
Battling a Stone Giant (att 22 def 15 hp 43) with three leveled parties of humans with maces and full leather armor (att 24, def 48 hp in the 60s)... Got my ass handed to me, the macemen were totally unable to hit the stone giant, not sure how combat damage is being calculated these days, but it's JACKED!
...Elemental 1.08B: the Melee Only Update!
I am experiencing this problem intermittently as well. But it's anybody with a bow, or a monster with a magic attack. Sometimes it's monsters (summoned), sometimes it's my archers. No Rhyme or Reason. Clearly some sort of bug.
I've figured that it is some kind of bug. After several restarts (and reboots), I got maps with resources. I wasn't kidding about there being zero resources (literally, ZERO), though. I had thought it might be something they had changed in gameplay at first, because of the mention of "lower resources per 1000 tiles" in the change log.
Really? More Food? Where? I have explored EVERY bit of my medium sized map that I can get to without going through enemy territory (1000's of tiles, hundreds of turns into the game), and THERE IS NOT ONE %#&!*$! FOOD RESOURCE THAT WASN'T SEEDED. Other than the seeded/revealed-by-research: NOT ONE SINGLE FOOD RESOURCE NOT ONE SOLITARY METAL NOT
LOL, welcome to the wasteland / post catalysm world. honestly I love how the 1.08 implemented as the setting is on the wasteland, not on a green rich land.
I get that this is supposed to be some post cataclysmic wasteland, BUT THERE AREN'T ENOUGH RESOURCES TO MAKE THIS A GAME OF ANYTHING BUT MISER OF MAGIC. 1000's of tiles revealed, and 1 shard, ZERO food (other than the seeded food), ZERO metal, ZERO Libraries (ot
...but I forgot to mention, now that magic is fixed you can go around kicking monster butt, since all those VAST SQUARE MILES OF 100% WORTHLESS WASTELAND (which you can't civilize, because you CANT AFFORD TO MAKE CITIES) is spewing an endless tide of them, and your cities certainly can't afford to defend themselves.
1.08 has turned the game into an utter wasteland, wholly unworthy of playing on. There's no resources out there to make building a city by worthwhile, but that's ok, because there's no way you can afford building anything like a city. You can't afford to research crap because there aren't any libraries out there anymore, and you can't pay for studies. You can't pay for studies because you can't afford to waste your mind numbingly scarce food resources to get gold (really one precious,
0-N Rolls are pure, unadulterated BS. Absolute garbage, they take the Random Number Gods and elevate them to the level of Almighty. Outrageous outcomes occur way too often. I just had a sovereign, familiar, fire giant, and two squads of HP 20, Attack 20, Def 12, Mov 2 utterly wiped by one enemy squad of HP 20/24, Atk 24, Def 12, Mov 2 soldiers. I cast multiple lightning strikes from an int 17 caster (with an air shard) that did f' all damage, my 20 attack squads did f' all damage, my familiar
I've had that happen, it's usually caused by a unit that's hung up somewhere.
It was soooooo not amused that it crashed so hard that it failed to even create a minidump (three times). The troll had like 40K HP max, but it went into the fight with 12 or so actual HP, and so truedam (Go Quest Dragon) was able to get through its 3000+ Def and kill it. It fell over, and the game hung, every time.
I'm experiencing this bug as well, healing is totally wack no matter where or how it happens, healing spells don't work either, they just seem to cause units to lose health. http://filebin.ca/qgubjp debug.err
